절	Union Traditional	King James Version
1	「此後，我們轉回，從紅海的路往曠野去，是照耶和華所吩咐我的。我們在西珥山繞行了許多日子。	Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the Lord spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.
2	耶和華對我說：	And the Lord spake unto me, saying,
3	『你們繞行這山的日子夠了，要轉向北去。	Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.
4	你吩咐百姓說：你們弟兄以掃的子孫住在西珥，你們要經過他們的境界。他們必懼怕你們，所以你們要分外謹慎。	And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
5	不可與他們爭戰；他們的地，連腳掌可踏之處，我都不給你們，因我已將西珥山賜給以掃為業。	Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau for a possession.
6	你們要用錢向他們買糧吃，也要用錢向他們買水喝。	Ye shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.
7	因為耶和華─你的神在你手裡所辦的一切事上已賜福與你。你走這大曠野，他都知道了。這四十年，耶和華─你的神常與你同在，故此你一無所缺。』	For the Lord thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the Lord thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
8	「於是，我們離了我們弟兄以掃子孫所住的西珥，從亞拉巴的路，經過以拉他、以旬‧迦別，轉向摩押曠野的路去。	And when we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, through the way of the plain from Elath, and from Ezion–gaber, we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
9	耶和華吩咐我說：『不可擾害摩押人，也不可與他們爭戰。他們的地，我不賜給你為業，因我已將亞珥賜給羅得的子孫為業。』	And the Lord said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.
10	（先前，有以米人住在那裡，民數眾多，身體高大，像亞衲人一樣。	The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;
11	這以米人像亞衲人；也算為利乏音人；摩押人稱他們為以米人。	Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.
12	先前，何利人也住在西珥，但以掃的子孫將他們除滅，得了他們的地，接著居住，就如以色列在耶和華賜給他為業之地所行的一樣。）	The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the Lord gave unto them.
13	現在，起來過撒烈溪！於是我們過了撒烈溪。	Now rise up, said I, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered.
14	自從離開加低斯‧巴尼亞，到過了撒烈溪的時候，共有三十八年，等那世代的兵丁都從營中滅盡，正如耶和華向他們所起的誓。	And the space in which we came from Kadesh–barnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the Lord sware unto them.
15	耶和華的手也攻擊他們，將他們從營中除滅，直到滅盡。	For indeed the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
16	「兵丁從民中都滅盡死亡以後，	So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
17	耶和華吩咐我說：	That the Lord spake unto me, saying,
18	『你今天要從摩押的境界亞珥經過，	Thou art to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
19	走近亞捫人之地，不可擾害他們，也不可與他們爭戰。亞捫人的地，我不賜給你們為業，因我已將那地賜給羅得的子孫為業。』	And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.
20	（那地也算為利乏音人之地，先前利乏音人住在那裡，亞捫人稱他們為散送冥。	(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;
21	那民眾多，身體高大，像亞衲人一樣，但耶和華從亞捫人面前除滅他們，亞捫人就得了他們的地，接著居住。	A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the Lord destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
22	正如耶和華從前為住西珥的以掃子孫將何利人從他們面前除滅、他們得了何利人的地、接著居住一樣，直到今日。	As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
23	從迦斐託出來的迦斐託人將先前住在鄉村直到迦薩的亞衛人除滅，接著居住。）	And the Avims which dwelt in Hazerim, even unto Azzah, the Caphtorims, which came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.)
24	你們起來前往，過亞嫩谷；我已將亞摩利人希實本王西宏和他的地交在你手中，你要與他爭戰，得他的地為業。	Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
25	從今日起，我要使天下萬民聽見你的名聲都驚恐懼怕，且因你發顫傷慟。」	This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee.
26	「我從基底莫的曠野差遣使者去見希實本王西宏，用和睦的話說：	And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
27	『求你容我從你的地經過，只走大道，不偏左右。	Let me pass through thy land: I will go along by the high way, I will neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left.
28	你可以賣糧給我吃，也可以賣水給我喝，只要容我步行過去，	Thou shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only I will pass through on my feet;
29	就如住西珥的以掃子孫和住亞珥的摩押人待我一樣，等我過了約旦河，好進入耶和華─我們神所賜給我們的地。』	(As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the Lord our God giveth us.
30	但希實本王西宏不容我們從他那裡經過；因為耶和華─你的神使他心中剛硬，性情頑梗，為要將他交在你手中，像今日一樣。	But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the Lord thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.
31	耶和華對我說：『從此起首，我要將西宏和他的地交給你；你要得他的地為業。』	And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land.
32	那時，西宏和他的眾民出來攻擊我們，在雅雜與我們交戰。	Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
33	耶和華─我們的神將他交給我們，我們就把他和他的兒子，並他的眾民，都擊殺了。	And the Lord our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
34	我們奪了他的一切城邑，將有人煙的各城，連女人帶孩子，盡都毀滅，沒有留下一個。	And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
35	惟有牲畜和所奪的各城，並其中的財物，都取為自己的掠物。	Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
36	從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥和谷中的城，直到基列，耶和華─我們的神都交給我們了，沒有一座城高得使我們不能攻取的。	From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the Lord our God delivered all unto us:
37	惟有亞捫人之地，凡靠近雅博河的地，並山地的城邑，與耶和華─我們神所禁止我們去的地方，都沒有挨近。」	Only unto the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not, nor unto any place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever the Lord our God forbad us.
