| 1 | 「 耶和華─你 神 將 列國之民 剪除的時候，耶和華─你 神 也將 他們的 地 賜 給你，你接著 住 他們的城邑 並他們的房屋， | When the Lord thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the Lord thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses; |
| 2 | 就要在耶和華─你 神 所 賜 你 為業 的地 上 分定 三 座城。 | Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it. |
| 3 | 要將 耶和華─你 神 使你承受為業 的 地 分為三段；又要預備 道路，使誤殺人的，都 可以 逃 到那裡去。 | Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither. |
| 4 | 「誤殺人的 逃 到那裡 可以存活，定例 乃是這樣：凡 素 無 仇恨，無 心 殺了 人的， | And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; |
| 5 | 就如人 與 鄰舍 同入 樹林 砍伐 樹木，手 拿斧子 一砍，本想砍下 樹木，不料，斧頭 脫了 把，飛落 在 鄰舍身上，以致於死，這人 逃 到 那些 城 的一座城，就可以存活， | As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live: |
| 6 | 免得 報 血仇的，心 中火熱 追 趕 他，因 路 遠 就追上，將他 殺死；其實他 不 該 死，因為 他 與被殺的 素 無 仇恨。 | Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past. |
| 7 | 所 以 我 吩咐你 說，要分定 三 座城。 | Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee. |
| 8 | 耶和華─你 神 若 照 他向你列祖 所起的誓 擴張 你的境界，將 所 應許 賜 你列祖 的地 全然 給 你， | And if the Lord thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers; |
| 9 | 你若 謹守 遵行 我 今日 所 吩咐 的這 一切 誡命，愛 耶和華─你的 神，常常 遵行 他的道，就要在 這 三座城之外，再 添 三 座城， | If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the Lord thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three: |
| 10 | 免得 無辜 之人的血 流 在耶和華─你 神 所 賜 你 為業 的地 上，流血 的罪就歸 於你。 | That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee. |
| 11 | 「若 有 人 恨 他的鄰舍，埋伏著 起來 擊殺 他，以致於死，便逃 到 這些 城 的一座城， | But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities: |
| 12 | 本城 的長老 就要打發人去，從那裡 帶出 他來，交 在報 血 仇的手中，將他治死。 | Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die. |
| 13 | 你眼 不可 顧惜 他，卻要從以色列 中除掉 流無辜 血的罪，使你 可以得福。」 | Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee. |
| 14 | 「在耶和華─你 神 所 賜 你 承受 為業 之地，不可 挪移 你鄰舍 的地界，那是 先人 所定的。」 | Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it. |
| 15 | 「人 無論 犯 甚麼 罪，作甚麼 惡，不可 憑一 個人的口作見證，總要憑 兩 三 個人的口 作見證 才可定 案。 | One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. |
| 16 | 若 有凶惡 的見證人 起來，見證 某人 作惡， | If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong; |
| 17 | 這兩個 爭訟 的人 就要站 在耶和華 面前，和 當 時 的祭司，並審判官 面前， | Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days; |
| 18 | 審判官 要細細地 查究，若見證人 果然 是作假 見證的，以假 見證 陷害弟兄， | And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother; |
| 19 | 你們就要待 他 如同 他想要 待 的弟兄。這樣，就把那惡 從你們中間 除掉。 | Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you. |
| 20 | 別人 聽見 都要害怕，就不 敢 在你們中間 再 行 這 樣 的惡了。 | And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you. |
| 21 | 你眼 不可 顧惜，要以命 償命，以眼 還眼，以牙 還牙，以手 還手，以腳 還腳。」 | And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. |
