| 2 | 王 問 洗巴 說：「你 帶這些 來是甚麼意思呢？」洗巴 說：「驢 是給王 的家眷 騎的；麵餅 和夏天的果餅 是給少年人 吃的；酒 是給在曠野 疲乏 人喝的。」 | And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king’s household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink. |

| 8 | 你流掃羅 全 家 的血， 接續他 作王；耶和華 把這罪歸 在你身上， 將 這國 交給 你兒子 押沙龍。現在你 自取其禍，因為 你是 流人血 的人。」 | The Lord hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the Lord hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man. |
| 9 | 洗魯雅 的兒子 亞比篩 對 王 說：「這 死 狗 豈可 咒罵 我主 我王呢？求 你容我過去，割下 他的頭來。」 | Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head. |
| 10 | 王 說：「洗魯雅 的兒子，我 與你們 有何關涉呢？ 他咒罵 是因 耶和華 吩咐他 說：『你要咒罵 大衛。』如此，誰 敢說 你為甚麼 這樣 行呢？」 | And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the Lord hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so? |
| 11 | 大衛 又對 亞比篩 和 眾 臣僕 說：「 我親 生 的 兒子 尚且尋索 我的性命，何況 這便雅憫人呢？由 他 咒罵吧！因為 這是耶和華 吩咐 他的。 | And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the Lord hath bidden him. |
| 12 | 或者 耶和華 見 我遭難，為 我今 日 被這人咒罵，就施 恩 與我。」 | It may be that the Lord will look on mine affliction, and that the Lord will requite me good for his cursing this day. |
| 13 | 於是大衛 和跟隨他的人往前 行走。示每 在大衛 對面 山 坡，一面行走 一面咒罵，又拿石頭 砍 他，拿土 揚他。 | And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill’s side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust. |
| 14 | 王 和 跟隨他 的眾 人 疲疲乏乏地 到了一個地方，就在那裡 歇息歇息。 | And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there. |

| 16 | 大衛 的朋友 亞基人 戶篩 去 見 押沙龍， 對 他 說：「願王 萬歲！願王 萬歲！」 | And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David’s friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king. |
| 17 | 押沙龍 問 戶篩 說：「這 是你恩待 朋友嗎？為甚麼 不 與 你的朋友 同去呢？」 | And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend? |
| 18 | 戶篩 對 押沙龍 說：「不然， 耶和華 和這 民，並以色列 眾 人 所 揀選的，我必 歸順他，與他 同住。 | And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the Lord, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide. |
| 19 | 再者，我 當服事 誰呢？豈不是 前王的 兒子嗎？我怎樣 服事 你父親，也必照樣 服事 你。」 | And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father’s presence, so will I be in thy presence. |
| 20 | 押沙龍 對 亞希多弗 說：「你們出個 主意，我們怎樣 行才好？」 | Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do. |
| 21 | 亞希多弗 對 押沙龍 說：「你父 所 留下 看守 宮殿 的妃嬪，你可以與她們 親近。以色列 眾人 聽見 你父親 憎惡你，凡 歸順你 人的手 就更堅強。」 | And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father’s concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong. |
| 22 | 於是人為押沙龍 在 宮殿的平頂 上支搭 帳棚；押沙龍 在以色列 眾人 眼前，與 他父 的妃嬪 親近。 | So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel. |
| 23 | 那 時 亞希多弗 所 出 的主意 好像 人 問 神 的話一樣；他昔日 給大衛，今日 給押沙龍 所出的主意，都 是這樣。 | And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom. |
