| 2 | 凡 受窘迫的、 欠債的、 心裡 苦惱 的都聚集 到大衛那裡；大衛就作 他們的 頭目，跟隨他 的約有 四 百 人。 | And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men. |

| 8 | 你們竟 都 結黨 害我！我的兒子 與 耶西 的兒子 結盟的時候，無人 告訴 我； 我的兒子 挑唆 我的臣子 謀害 我，就如今 日的光景，也無人 告訴 我，為我 憂慮。」 | That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? |
| 9 | 那時以東人 多益 站 在 掃羅 的臣僕中，對他說：「我曾看見 耶西 的兒子 到 了 挪伯，亞希突 的兒子 亞希米勒那裡。 | Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub. |
| 10 | 亞希米勒為他 求問 耶和華，又給 他 食物，並給 他 殺非利士人 歌利亞 的 刀。」 | And he enquired of the Lord for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine. |
| 11 | 王 就打發 人將 祭司 亞希突 的兒子 亞希米勒 和 他父親 的全 家，就是 住挪伯 的祭司 都召了來；他們 就來 見 王。 | Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king. |
| 12 | 掃羅 說：「亞希突 的兒子，要 聽我的話！」他回答說：「主啊，我在這裡。」 | And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord. |
| 13 | 掃羅 對他 說：「你 為甚麼 與 耶西 的兒子 結黨 害我，將食物 和刀 給 他，又為他 求問 神，使他起來 謀害 我，就如今 日的光景？」 | And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? |
| 14 | 亞希米勒 回答 王 說：「 王的臣僕 中有誰 比大衛 忠心呢？他是王 的女婿，又是 王的參謀，並且在王家中 是尊貴的。 | Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house? |
| 15 | 我豈是從今日 才 為他 求問 神呢？斷不是這樣！王 不要 將罪 歸我 和我父 的全 家；因為 這 事，無論 大 小，僕人 都 不 知道。」 | Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more. |
| 16 | 王 說：「亞希米勒啊，你 和你父 的全 家 都是該 死的！」 | And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house. |
| 17 | 王 就吩咐左右的 侍衛 說：「你們去 殺 耶和華 的祭司；因為 他們幫助 大衛，又 知道 大衛 逃跑，竟沒有 告訴 我。」掃羅 的臣子 卻不 肯 伸 手 殺 耶和華 的祭司。 | And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the Lord; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the Lord. |
| 18 | 王 吩咐多益 說：「你 去 殺 祭司吧！」以東人 多益 就 去 殺 祭司，那 日 殺了 穿 細麻布 以弗得 的八十 五 人； | And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod. |
| 19 | 又用 刀 將 祭司 城 挪伯 中的男 女、孩童、 吃奶的，和牛、羊、驢 盡都殺滅。 | And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword. |
| 20 | 亞希突 的兒子 亞希米勒 有一個 兒子，名叫 亞比亞他，逃 到 大衛那裡。 | And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David. |
| 21 | 亞比亞他 將 掃羅 殺 耶和華 祭司 的事告訴 大衛。 | And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the Lord’s priests. |
| 22 | 大衛 對亞比亞他 說：「那 日 我見以東人 多益 在那裡，就 知道 他必 告訴 掃羅。你父 的全 家 喪命，都是因我 的緣故。 | And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father’s house. |
| 23 | 你可以住 在我這裡，不要 懼怕。因為 尋索 你命 的就是 尋索 我的命；你 在我這裡 可 得保全。」 | Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard. |
