1 有一個 人，名叫 亞拿尼亞，同 他 的妻子 撒非喇 賣了 田產， But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 把 價銀 私自留下幾分，他的妻子 也 知道， 其餘的幾分 拿來 放 在 使徒 腳前。 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
3 彼得 說：「亞拿尼亞！為甚麼 撒但 充滿了 你的 心，叫你 欺哄 聖 靈， 把 田地 的價銀 私自留下幾分呢？ But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 田地還沒有賣，不是 你自己的嗎？既 賣了，價銀不是 你 作主嗎？你怎麼 心 裡起 這 意念呢？你不是 欺哄 人，是欺哄 神了。」 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 亞拿尼亞 聽見 這話，就仆倒，斷了氣； 聽見 的人都 甚 懼怕。 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6 有些少年人 起來，把他 包裹， 抬出去 埋葬了。 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7 約 過了 三 小時， 他 的妻子 進來，還不 知道 這事。 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
8 彼得 對 她 說：「你告訴 我，你們賣 田地 的價銀就 是這些嗎？」 她說：「 就是這些。」 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
9 彼得說：「你們 為甚麼 同心 試探 主 的靈呢？ 埋葬 你 丈夫 之人的腳 已到 門口，他們也 要把你 抬出去。」 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10 婦人立刻 仆倒 在 彼得 腳前， 斷了氣。 那些少年人 進來，見 她 已經死了，就 抬出去，埋 在 她 丈夫旁邊。 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
11 全 教會 和 聽見 這事 的人都 甚 懼怕。 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
12 主藉 使徒 的手 在 民間 行了 許多 神蹟 奇事； 他們（或譯：信的人）都 同心合意地 在 所羅門 的廊下。 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
13 其餘的 人沒有一個 敢 貼近 他們，百姓 卻 尊重 他們。 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
14 信 而歸主 的人越發 增添，連男 帶 女 很多。 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
15 甚至 有人將病人 抬 到 街上， 放 在 床 上或 褥子上，指望 彼得 過來的時候，或者 得他的影兒 照 在 甚麼人身上。 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
16 還有 許多人 帶著 病人 和 被 污 鬼 纏磨的，從耶路撒冷 四圍的 城邑 來， 全 都得了醫治。 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
17 大祭司 和 他 的一切同人， 就是 撒都該 教門的人，都起來，滿心 忌恨， Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,
18 就 下 手 拿住 使徒， 收 在 外 監。 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
19 但 主 的使者 夜間 開 了監 門， 領 他們出來， But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
20 說：「你們去 站 在 殿裡， 把這 生命 的道 都講 給 百姓聽。」 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
21 使徒聽了這話， 天將亮 的時候就進 殿 裡 去教訓人。 大祭司 和 他 的同人來了，叫齊 公會 的人和 以色列 族 的眾 長老，就 差人 到 監裡去，要把使徒 提出來。 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 但 差役 到了，不 見 他們 在 監裡，就 回來 稟報 說： But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,
23 「 我們看見 監牢 關 得 極 妥當， 看守 的人也站 在 門外；及至 開了門，裡面 一個人都不 見。」 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
24 守殿 官 和 祭司長 聽見 這 話，心裡犯難，不知這事 將來如何。 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
25 有一個人 來 稟報說：「 你們收 在 監 裡的人， 現在 站 在 殿 裡 教訓 百姓。」 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
26 於是 守殿官 和 差役 去 帶 使徒來，並沒有 用 強暴，因為 怕 百姓 用石頭打他們。 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.
27 帶到了，便叫 使徒站在 公會前； 大祭司 問 他們 說： And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
28 「我們不是 嚴嚴地 禁止 你們，不可 奉 這 名 教訓人嗎？ 你們倒把你們的 道理 充滿 了耶路撒冷， 想要 叫這 人 的血 歸 到 我們身上！」 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
29 彼得 和 眾使徒 回答 說：「順從 神，不順從 人，是應當的。 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
30 你們 掛 在 木頭 上殺害 的耶穌，我們 祖宗的 神 已經叫他復活。 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
31 神 且用 右手 將他 高舉（或譯：他就是 神高舉在自己的右邊），叫他作君王， 作救主，將悔改 的心和 赦 罪 的恩賜 給以色列人。 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 我們 為這 事 作 見證； 神 賜 給順從 之人的聖 靈也為這事作見證。」 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
33 公會的人聽見 就 極其惱怒， 想要 殺 他們。 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
34 但 有一個 法利賽人，名叫 迦瑪列，是眾 百姓 所敬重的 教法師，在 公會 中站起來，吩咐 人 把使徒暫且 帶到 外面去， Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
35 就 對 眾人 說：「以色列 人哪，論到 這些 人，你們 應當小心 怎樣 辦理。 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.
36 從前 杜達 起來，自 誇 為 大；附從 他 的人 約有 四百，他 被殺後， 附從 他 的全 都散了， 歸 於 無有。 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.
37 此後， 報名上冊 的時候，又 有加利利 的猶大 起來，引誘 些百姓 跟從 他；他也 滅亡， 附從 他 的人也 都四散了。 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
38 現在，我勸 你們 不要管 這些 人， 任憑 他們吧！ 他們 所謀的、 所行的，若 是 出於 人，必要敗壞； And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 若 是 出於 神，你們就不 能 敗壞 他們，恐怕 你們倒是攻擊 神了。」 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
40 公會的人聽從 了他，便 叫 使徒來，把他們打了，又吩咐 他們不可 奉 耶穌 的名 講道，就 把他們釋放了。 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 他們離開 公會，心裡歡喜，因 被算是配 為 這名 受辱。 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
42 他們就 每 日 在 殿裡、 在 家 裡不住地 教訓人， 傳 耶穌 是基督。 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
