| 1 | 約瑟 的後裔，瑪拿西 的孫子，瑪吉 的兒子 基列，他子孫中 的諸族 長 來 到摩西 和作首領 的以色列 人 族 長 面前，說： | And the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel: |
| 2 | 「耶和華 曾吩咐 我主 拈鬮 分 地 給以色列 人 為業，我主 也受了耶和華 的吩咐 將 我們兄弟 西羅非哈 的產業 分 給他的眾女兒。 | And they said, The Lord commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters. |
| 3 | 她們若嫁 以色列 別 支派 的人，就必 將我們祖宗 所遺留的產業 加 在 她們丈夫支派 的產業中。這樣，我們拈鬮 所得的產業 就要減少了。 | And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance. |
| 4 | 到了 以色列 人 的禧年，這女兒的產業 就必加 在 她們丈夫支派 的產業上。這樣，我們祖宗 支派 的產業 就減少了。」 | And when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers. |

| 6 | 論到 西羅非哈 的眾女兒，耶和華 這 樣 吩咐 說：她們可以隨 意 嫁人，只是 要嫁 同宗 支派的人。 | This is the thing which the Lord doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry. |
| 7 | 這樣，以色列 人 的產業 就不 從這支派 歸 到 那支派，因為 以色列 人 要各 守 各祖宗 支派 的產業。 | So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers. |
| 8 | 凡 在以色列 支派 中得了 產業 的女子 必作 同 宗 支派 人的妻，好叫 以色列 人 各自 承受 他祖宗 的產業。 | And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers. |
| 9 | 這樣，他們的產業 就不 從這支派 歸 到那 支派，因為 以色列 支派 的人 要各 守 各的產業。」 | Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance. |
| 10 | 耶和華 怎樣 吩咐 摩西，西羅非哈 的眾女兒 就怎樣 行。 | Even as the Lord commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad: |
| 11 | 西羅非哈 的女兒 瑪拉、得撒、曷拉、密迦、挪阿 都嫁了 他們伯叔 的兒子。 | For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father’s brothers’ sons: |
| 12 | 她們嫁 入約瑟 兒子、瑪拿西 子孫 的族中；她們的產業 仍留 在 同宗 支派中。 | And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father. |
| 13 | 這是 耶和華 在摩押 平原─約旦河邊、耶利哥 對面─藉著 摩西 所 吩咐 以色列 人 的命令 典章。 | These are the commandments and the judgments, which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho. |
