| 1 | 巴蘭 對 巴勒 說：「你在這裡 給我 築 七 座壇，為我 預備 七 隻公牛，七 隻公羊。」 | And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams. |
| 2 | 巴勒 照 巴蘭 的話 行了。巴勒 和巴蘭 在每座壇上 獻 一隻公牛，一隻公羊。 | And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram. |
| 3 | 巴蘭 對巴勒 說：「你站 在 你的燔祭旁邊，我且往前去，或者 耶和華 來 迎見我。他指示我 甚麼，我必告訴 你。」於是巴蘭上 一淨光的高處。 | And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the Lord will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place. |

| 9 | 我從高 峰 看他，從小山 望他； 這是獨 居 的民，不 列 在萬民中。 | For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. |
| 10 | 誰 能數點 雅各 的塵土？誰能計算 以色列 的四分之一？我 願如義人 之死 而死；我願 如義人之 終而終。 | Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! |
| 11 | 巴勒 對 巴蘭 說：「你向我 做的 是甚麼事呢？我領你 來咒詛 我的仇敵，不料，你竟為他們祝福。」 | And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. |
| 12 | 他回答 說：「耶和華 傳 給我的話， 我能不 謹慎 傳說嗎？」 | And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the Lord hath put in my mouth? |
| 13 | 巴勒 說：「求 你同我 往 別 處 去， 在那裡 可以看見他們；你不能 全 看見，只能 看見 他們邊界上的人。在那裡 要為我 咒詛他們。」 | And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence. |
| 14 | 於是領 巴蘭到了瑣腓 田，上了 毘斯迦 山頂，築了 七 座壇；每座壇上 獻 一隻公牛，一隻公羊。 | And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar. |

| 16 | 耶和華 臨 到 巴蘭那裡，將話 傳 給他；又說：「你回 到 巴勒那裡，要如此如此 說。」 | And the Lord met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus. |
| 17 | 他就回 到巴勒那裡，見他 站 在 燔祭旁邊；摩押 的使臣 也和他在一處。巴勒 問他 說：「耶和華 說了 甚麼話呢？」 | And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the Lord spoken? |
| 18 | 巴蘭就題 詩歌 說：巴勒，你起來 聽；西撥 的兒子，你聽 我言。 | And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor: |
| 19 | 神 非 人，必不致說謊，也非人 子，必不致後悔。他 說話 豈不 照著行呢？他發言 豈不 要成就呢？ | God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? |
| 20 | 我奉命 祝福； 神也曾賜福，此事我不能 翻轉。 | Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. |
| 21 | 他未 見 雅各 中有罪孽，也未 見 以色列 中有奸惡。耶和華─他的 神 和他同在；有歡呼 王 的聲音在他們中間。 | He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. |
| 22 | 神 領他們 出埃及；他們 似乎有野牛 之力。 | God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. |
| 23 | 斷 沒有 法術 可以害雅各，也沒有 占卜 可以害以色列。現在 必有人論及雅各，就是論及以色列 說： 神 為他行了 何等的大事！ | Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! |
| 24 | 這民 起來，彷彿母獅，挺身，好像公獅，未曾 吃 野食，未曾喝 被傷者 之血，決不 躺臥。 | Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain. |
| 25 | 巴勒 對 巴蘭 說：「你一點 不要 咒詛他們，也 不要 為他們祝福。」 | And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all. |
| 26 | 巴蘭 回答 巴勒 說：「我豈不是 告訴 你 說『凡 耶和華 所 說的， 我必須遵行』嗎？」 | But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that I must do? |
| 27 | 巴勒 對 巴蘭 說：「 來吧，我領你 往 別 處去，或者 神 喜歡 你在那裡 為我 咒詛他們。」 | And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence. |
| 28 | 巴勒 就領 巴蘭 到 那下 望 曠野 的毘珥 山頂上。 | And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon. |
