| 1 | 耶穌 說完了 這些 話，就離開 加利利， 來 到 猶太 的境界 約旦河 外。 | And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judea beyond Jordan; |
| 2 | 有許多人 跟著 他，他就 在那裡 把他們 的病人治好了。 | And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. |
| 3 | 有法利賽人 來 試探 耶穌， 說：「人 無論甚麼 緣故 都可以 休 妻嗎？」 | The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? |
| 4 | 耶穌回答 說：「 那 起初 造人的，是造 男 造女， | And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, |
| 5 | 並且 說：『因 此，人 要離開 父 母， 與 妻子 連合， 二人 成為 一 體。』這經你們沒有念過嗎？ | And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? |
| 6 | 既然如此，夫妻不再 是 兩個人，乃是 一 體的了。 所以， 神 配合的，人 不可 分開。」 | Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. |
| 7 | 法利賽人說：「這樣，摩西 為甚麼 吩咐 給 妻子休 書，就 可以休 她呢？」 | They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? |
| 8 | 耶穌說：「 摩西 因為 你們的 心硬，所以許 你們 休 妻，但 起初 並不 是 這樣。 | He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. |
| 9 | 我告訴 你們， 凡 休 妻 另 娶的，若不是 為 淫亂的緣故，就是犯姦淫了；有人娶那被休的婦人，也是犯姦淫了。」 | And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. |
| 10 | 門徒 對耶穌 說：「人 和 妻子 既 是 這 樣，倒不如 不 娶。」 | His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. |
| 11 | 耶穌 說：「這 話 不是 人都 能領受的，惟獨 賜給 誰，誰才能領受。 | But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. |
| 12 | 因為 有 生 來是 閹人，也 有 被 人 閹的，並 有 為 天 國 的緣故自 閹的。這話誰能 領受 就可以領受。」 | For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. |
| 13 | 那時，有人帶著 小孩子 來見耶穌，要 耶穌給他們 按 手 禱告，門徒 就 責備 那些人。 | Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. |
| 14 | 耶穌 說：「讓 小孩子 到 我 這裡來， 不要 禁止 他們；因為 在天 國的，正是 這樣的人。」 | But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. |
| 15 | 耶穌給他們 按 手，就離開 那地方去了。 | And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. |
| 16 | 有一個 人來 見耶穌，說：「夫子（有古卷：良善的夫子），我該做 甚麼 善事 才能得 永 生？」 | And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? |
| 17 | 耶穌對他 說：「你為甚麼 以 善事 問 我呢？只有一位 是 善的（有古卷：你為甚麼稱我是良善的？除了 神以外，沒有一個良善的）。 你若 要 進 入 永生，就當遵守 誡命。」 | And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. |
| 18 | 他說：「甚麼誡命？」 耶穌 說：「就是不可 殺人；不可 姦淫；不可 偷盜；不可 作假見證； | He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, |
| 19 | 當孝敬 父 母；又 當愛 人 如 己。」 | Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |
| 20 | 那少年人 說：「這 一切 我都遵守了，還 缺少 甚麼呢？」 | The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? |
| 21 | 耶穌 說：「你若 願意 作 完全人，可去 變賣 你 所有的， 分給 窮人，就 必有 財寶 在 天上；你還要 來 跟從 我。」 | Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. |
| 22 | 那少年人 聽見 這話，就憂憂愁愁地 走了，因為 他 的 產業 很多。 | But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. |
| 23 | 耶穌 對 門徒 說：「我實在 告訴 你們， 財主 進 天 國 是難的。 | Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. |
| 24 | 我又 告訴 你們，駱駝 穿 過 針的 眼，比 財主 進 神的 國 還容易呢！」 | And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. |
| 25 | 門徒 聽見這話，就希奇 得很，說：「這樣 誰 能 得救呢？」 | When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? |
| 26 | 耶穌 看著 他們，說：「在 人 這 是 不能的， 在 神 凡事 都能。」 | But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. |
| 27 | 彼得 就 對他 說：「看哪，我們 已經撇下 所有的 跟從 你， 將來我們 要得 甚麼呢？」 | Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? |
| 28 | 耶穌 說：「我實在 告訴 你們， 你們 這 跟從 我的人，到 復興 的時候，人 子 坐 在 他 榮耀的 寶座上，你們 也要 坐 在 十二個 寶座上，審判 以色列 十二個 支派。 | And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. |
| 29 | 凡 為 我的 名 撇下 房屋，或是 弟兄、 姊妹、 父親、 母親、（有古卷加：妻子、） 兒女、 田地的，必要得著 百倍，並且 承受 永 生。 | And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. |
| 30 | 然而，有許多 在前的，將要 在後； 在後的，將要在前。」 | But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. |
