1 我們既 因 信 稱義，就藉著 我們的 主 耶穌 基督 得 與 神 相和。 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 我們又 藉著 他，因信 得 進入 現在 所站 的這 恩典 中，並且 歡歡喜喜 盼望 神的 榮耀。 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 不 但如此，就是 在患難 中 也是 歡歡喜喜的；因為知道 患難 生 忍耐， And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 忍耐 生老練， 老練 生盼望； And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 盼望 不至於 羞恥，因為 所 賜給 我們 的聖 靈將 神 的愛 澆灌 在 我們 心裡。 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 因 我們 還 軟弱的時候，基督 就按所定的 日期 為 罪人 死。 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 為 義人 死，是少有的； 為 仁人 死， 或者 有敢做的。 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 惟有 基督 在我們 還 作 罪人 的時候為 我們 死， 神 的 愛 就在此 向 我們 顯明了。 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 現在 我們既靠著 他的 血 稱義，就 更要 藉著 他 免去 神的忿怒。 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 因為 我們作 仇敵的時候，且 藉著 神 兒子 的死，得與 神 和好；既已和好，就更要 因 他的 生 得救了。 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 不 但如此，我們既 藉著 我 主 耶穌 基督 得與 神和好，也 就 藉著 他 以 神 為樂。 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 這 就如 罪 是從 一 人 入了 世界，死 又是 從 罪來的；於是 死 就臨 到 眾 人，因為 眾人 都犯了罪。 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 沒有律法 之先，罪 已經 在 世上；但 沒 有 律法，罪 也不 算罪。 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 然而 從 亞當 到 摩西，死 就作了王，連 那些不 與 亞當 犯 一樣 罪過的，也在他的權下。亞當 乃是 那以後要來 之人的預像。 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 只是 過犯 不 如 恩賜，若 因 一人 的過犯，眾人 都死了，何況 神的 恩典，與 那 因 耶穌 基督 一 人 恩典 中的賞賜，豈不更 加倍地 臨到 眾人嗎？ But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 因 一人 犯罪就定罪，也 不 如 恩賜，原來 審判 是由 一人 而 定罪，恩賜 乃是 由 許多 過犯 而 稱義。 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 若 因 一人 的過犯，死 就因 這一人 作了王，何況那些受 洪 恩 又 蒙所賜 之義的，豈不更要 因 耶穌 基督 一人 在生命 中 作王嗎？ For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 如此說來， 因 一次的 過犯， 眾 人 都被 定罪；照樣，因 一次的 義行， 眾 人 也就被 稱義 得生命了。 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 因 一 人的 悖逆，眾人 成為 罪人；照樣，因 一人的 順從，眾人 也成為 義了。 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 律法 本是外添的，叫 過犯 顯多；只是 罪 在哪裡 顯多，恩典 就更顯多了。 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 就如 罪 作王 叫 人死；照樣，恩典 也藉著 義 作王，叫 人因 我們的 主 耶穌 基督 得永 生。 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
