| 1 | 我勸 你，第一 要 為 萬 人 懇求、禱告、代求、祝謝； | I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; |
| 2 | 為 君王 和 一切 在位的，也該如此，使 我們可以 敬虔、 端正、平安 無事地 度日。 | For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. |
| 3 | 這 是好的，在 神 我們 救主 面前 可蒙悅納。 | For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; |
| 4 | 他 願意 萬 人 得救， 明白 真道。 | Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. |
| 5 | 因為 只有一位 神，在 神 和 人中間，只有一位 中保，乃是降世為人 的基督 耶穌； | For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; |
| 6 | 他 捨 自己 作 萬人 的贖價，到了 時候，這事必證明出來。 | Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. |

| 14 | 且 不是 亞當 被引誘，乃是 女人 被引誘，陷 在罪 裡。 | And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. |
| 15 | 然而，女人若 常存 信心、 愛心，又 聖潔 自守，就必在生產 上 得救。 | Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. |
