| 1 | 但 你 所講的 總要合乎 那純正的 道理。 | But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: |
| 2 | 勸老年人 要有 節制、端莊、自守，在信心、愛心、忍耐 上都要純全無疵。 | That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. |
| 3 | 又 勸老年婦人， 舉止行動 要恭敬，不 說讒言，不 給 酒 作奴僕，用善道教訓人， | The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; |
| 4 | 好 指教少年婦人，愛丈夫，愛兒女， | That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, |
| 5 | 謹守，貞潔，料理家務，待人有恩，順服 自己的 丈夫，免得 神 的道理 被毀謗。 | To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. |
| 6 | 又 勸 少年人 要謹守。 | Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. |
| 7 | 你自己 凡事 要顯出 善 行 的榜樣；在教訓 上 要正直、端莊， | In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, |
| 8 | 言語 純全，無可指責，叫 那反對 的人，既無處 可 說 我們 的不是，便自覺羞愧。 | Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. |
| 9 | 勸僕人 要順服 自己的 主人， 凡事 討 他的喜歡，不可 頂撞他， | Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; |
| 10 | 不可 私拿東西，要 顯為 忠誠，以致 凡事 尊榮 我們救主─ 神 的道。 | Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. |
| 11 | 因為 神 救 眾 人 的恩典 已經顯明出來， | For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, |
| 12 | 教訓 我們 除去 不敬虔的心 和 世俗的 情慾，在 今 世 自守、 公義、 敬虔 度日， | Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; |
| 13 | 等候 所盼望的 福，並 等候至大的 神 和 我們（或譯： 神─我們）救主 耶穌 基督 的榮耀 顯現。 | Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; |
| 14 | 他 為 我們 捨了 自己，要 贖 我們 脫離 一切 罪惡，又 潔淨 我們，特作 自己的子民，熱心 為善。 | Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. |
| 15 | 這些事 你要講明， 勸戒人， 用 各等 權柄 責備人；不可叫人 輕看 你。 | These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. |
