| 2 | 我 樂意 將至高的 神 向我 所 行 的神蹟 奇事 宣揚出來。 | I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me. |
| 3 | 他的神蹟 何其 大！他的奇事 何其 盛！他的國 是永遠的；他的權柄 存到 萬 代！ | How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation. |
| 4 | 「我 尼布甲尼撒 安居 在宮中，平順 在殿內。 | I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace: |
| 5 | 我做了 一夢，使我懼怕。我在 床 上的思念，並腦中 的異象，使我驚惶。 | I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. |
| 6 | 所以我 降 旨 召 巴比倫 的一切 哲士 到我面前，叫他們 把夢 的講解 告訴我。 | Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream. |
| 7 | 於是 那些術士、用法術的、迦勒底人、觀兆的 都進來，我 將那夢 告訴了 他們，他們卻不能 把夢的講解 告訴 我。 | Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof. |
| 8 | 末後 那 照我神 的名，稱為 伯提沙撒 的但以理 來 到 我面前， 他裡頭 有聖 神 的靈，我將夢 告訴 他說： | But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying, |
| 9 | 『術士 的領袖 伯提沙撒啊，因 我 知道 你裡頭 有聖 神 的靈，甚麼 奧祕的事 都不能 使你 為難。現在要把我夢 中所 見 的異象 和夢的講解 告訴我。』 | O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof. |
| 10 | 「我在 床 上腦中 的異象是這樣： 我看見 地 當中 有一棵樹，極其 高大。 | Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great. |
| 11 | 那樹 漸長，而且堅固，高 得頂 天，從地 極 都 能看見， | The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth: |
| 12 | 葉子 華美，果子 甚多，可作眾生 的食物；田野 的走獸 臥在蔭 下，天空 的飛鳥 宿 在枝上；凡 有血氣 的都從 這樹得食。 | The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it. |
| 13 | 「我 在 床 上腦中 的異象，見 有一位守望 的聖者 從 天 而降。 | I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven; |
| 14 | 大聲 呼叫 說：『伐倒 這樹！砍下 枝子！搖掉 葉子！拋散 果子！使走獸 離開 樹下，飛鳥 躲開 樹枝。 | He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches: |
| 15 | 樹墩 卻要 留 在地內， 用鐵 圈和銅 圈箍住，在田野 的 青草 中讓天 露 滴濕，使他 與 地上 的獸 一同吃草， | Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth: |
| 16 | 使他的心 改變，不如 人心；給 他 一個獸 心，使他 經過 七 期（期：或譯年；本章同）。 | Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. |
| 17 | 這是守望者 所發 的命，聖者 所出的 令，好叫 世人 知道 至高者 在人 的國中 掌權，要 將國賜與誰 就賜與誰，或立 極卑微的 人 執掌國權。』 | This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. |
| 18 | 「這是 我─尼布甲尼撒 王 所做的 夢。伯提沙撒啊，你 要說明 這夢的講解；因為 我國中 的一切 哲士 都 不 能 將夢的講解 告訴我，惟獨你 能，因 你裡頭 有聖 神 的靈。」 | This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee. |
| 19 | 於是 稱為 伯提沙撒 的 但以理 驚訝 片 時，心意 驚惶。王 說：「伯提沙撒啊，不要 因夢 和夢的講解 驚惶。」伯提沙撒 回答 說：「我主啊，願這夢 歸與恨惡你的人，講解 歸與你的敵人。 | Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies. |
| 20 | 你所 見 的樹 漸長，而且堅固，高 得頂 天，從 地 極都能看見； | The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth; |
| 21 | 葉子 華美，果子 甚多，可作眾 生 的食物；田野 的走獸 住在 其下；天空的 飛鳥 宿 在枝上。 | Whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation: |
| 22 | 「王啊，這 漸長 又堅固 的樹就是 你。你的威勢 漸長 及 天，你的權柄 管到地 極。 | It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth. |
| 23 | 王 既 看見 一位守望的 聖者 從 天 而降，說：『將這樹 砍伐 毀壞，樹墩 卻要 留 在地內， 用鐵 圈和銅 圈箍住；在田野 的 青草中，讓天 露 滴濕，使他與 地上的 獸 一同吃草，直到 經過 七 期。』 | And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him; |
| 24 | 「王啊，講解 就是 這樣：臨 到 我主 我王 的事 是出於至高者 的命。 | This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: |
| 25 | 你 必被趕出 離開 世人，與 野地 的獸 同 居， 吃 草 如牛，被天 露 滴濕，且要經過 七 期。等 你知道 至高者 在人 的國 中掌權，要 將國賜與誰 就賜與誰。 | That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. |
| 26 | 守望者既 吩咐 存留 樹 墩，等 你知道 諸天 掌權，以後你的國 必定 歸你。 | And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule. |
| 27 | 王啊，求你 悅納 我的諫言，以施行公義 斷絕 罪過，以憐憫 窮人 除掉罪孽，或者 你的平安 可以 延長。」 | Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity. |
| 28 | 這事都 臨 到 尼布甲尼撒 王。 | All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. |
| 29 | 過了 十 二 個月，他遊 行 在 巴比倫 王 宮裡（原文是上）。 | At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. |
| 30 | 他 說：「這 大 巴比倫 不 是 我 用大能 大力 建 為 京 都，要顯我威嚴的 榮耀嗎？」 | The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? |
| 31 | 這話 在王 口中 尚未說完，有聲音 從 天 降下，說：「尼布甲尼撒 王啊，有話對你 說，你的國位 離開 你了。 | While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. |
| 32 | 你 必被趕出 離開 世人，與 野地 的獸 同居， 吃 草 如牛，且要經過 七 期。等 你知道 至高者 在人 的國中 掌權，要將 國賜與誰 就賜與誰。」 | And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. |
| 33 | 當 時 這話 就應驗 在 尼布甲尼撒的身上，他被趕出 離開 世人，吃 草 如牛，身 被天 露 滴濕， 頭髮 長長，好像鷹毛；指甲長長，如同鳥爪。 | The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. |
| 34 | 日子 滿足，我─尼布甲尼撒 舉 目 望天，我的聰明 復歸 於我，我便稱頌 至高者，讚美 尊敬 活 到永遠的 神。 他的權柄 是永有的；他的國 存到 萬 代。 | And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: |
| 35 | 世上 所有的 居民 都算為 虛無；在天上 的萬軍 和世上 的居民中，他都憑自己的意旨 行事。無人 能 攔住 他手，或問他 說，你做 甚麼呢？ | And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? |
| 36 | 那 時，我的聰明 復歸 於我，為我國 的榮耀、威嚴，和光耀 也都復歸 於我；並且我的謀士 和大臣 也來朝見 我。我又得堅立 在 國位上，至大的 權柄 加增 於我。 | At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. |
| 37 | 現在 我─尼布甲尼撒 讚美、尊崇、恭敬 天上 的王；因為他所 做的 全都 誠實，他所 行的 也都公平。那行動 驕傲的，他能 降為卑。 | Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. |
