| 2 | 我只要 問 你們 這 一件：你們受了 聖靈，是因 行 律法呢？ 是因 聽 信福音呢？ | This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? |
| 3 | 你們既靠聖靈 入門，如今 還靠肉身 成全嗎？你們是 這樣的 無知嗎？ | Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? |
| 4 | 你們受苦 如此之多，都是徒然的嗎？難道果真 是 徒然的嗎？ | Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. |
| 5 | 那 賜給 你們 聖靈，又 在你們 中間 行 異能的，是因 你們行 律法呢？是 因 你們聽 信福音呢？ | He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? |
| 6 | 正如「亞伯拉罕 信 神， 這就算為 他 的 義」。 | Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. |
| 7 | 所以，你們要知道：那 以信 為本的人，就是 亞伯拉罕 的子孫。 | Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. |
| 8 | 並且 聖經 既然預先看明， 神 要叫外邦人 因 信 稱義，就早已傳福音 給亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國 都必因 你 得福。」 | And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. |
| 9 | 可見 那以信 為本 的人和有信心的 亞伯拉罕 一同 得福。 | So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. |
| 10 | 凡 以行 律法 為本的，都是 被咒詛的；因為 經上記著：「凡 不 常 照 律法 書 上 所記 一切之事 去行 的，就被咒詛。」 | For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. |
| 11 | 沒有一個人 靠著 律法在 神 面前 稱義，這是明顯的；因為經上說：「義人 必因 信 得生。」 | But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. |
| 12 | 律法 原不 本乎 信，只說：「行 這些事的，就必因 此 活著。」 | And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. |
| 13 | 基督 既為 我們受（原文是成）了咒詛，就贖出 我們 脫離 律法 的咒詛；因為 經上記著：「凡 掛在 木頭 上 都是被咒詛的。」 | Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: |
| 14 | 這 便叫亞伯拉罕 的福，因 基督 耶穌 可以臨 到 外邦人，使 我們因 信 得著 所應許的 聖靈。 | That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. |
| 15 | 弟兄們，我且照著 人 的常話說：雖然 是人 的文約，若已經立定了，就沒有能 廢棄 或 加增的。 | Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. |
| 16 | 所應許的 原是向亞伯拉罕 和 他 子孫 說的。 神並不是 說「眾子孫」，指著 許多人，乃是說「你 那一個子孫」，指著 一個人， 就是 基督。 | Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. |
| 17 | 我是這麼 說， 神 預先所立的 約，不能 被那 四百 三十 年 以後的 律法 廢掉，叫 應許 歸於虛空。 | And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. |
| 18 | 因為 承受產業，若 本乎 律法，就不 本乎 應許；但 神 是憑著 應許 把產業賜給 亞伯拉罕。 | For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. |
| 19 | 這樣說來，律法 是為甚麼有的呢？原是為 過犯 添上的，等候 那 蒙應許的 子孫 來到，並且是藉 天使 經 中保 之手 設立的。 | Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. |
| 20 | 但 中保 本不 是 為一面作的； 神 卻是 一位。 | Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. |
| 21 | 這樣，律法是與 神 的應許 反對嗎？斷乎不是！ 若 曾傳 一個 能 叫人得生 的律法，義 就 誠然 本乎 律法了。 | Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. |
| 22 | 但 聖經 把眾人 都圈在 罪 裡，使 所應許的 福因 信 耶穌 基督，歸給 那信的人。 | But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. |
| 23 | 但 這因信 得救的理還未來 以先，我們被看守 在律法 之下，直圈 到 那將來的 真道 顯明出來。 | But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. |
| 24 | 這樣，律法 是 我們 訓蒙的師傅，引我們到 基督那裡，使 我們因 信 稱義。 | Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. |
| 25 | 但 這因信 得救的理既然來到，我們從此就 不在 師傅 的手下了。 | But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. |
| 26 | 所以，你們因 信 基督 耶穌 都 是 神 的兒子。 | For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. |
| 27 | 你們受洗 歸入 基督 的 都是披戴 基督了。 | For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. |
| 28 | 並不分 猶太人、 希臘人， 自主的、 為奴的， 或 男 或 女，因為 你們 在基督 耶穌 裡 都 成為 一了。 | There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. |
| 29 | 你們 既 屬乎基督， 就是 亞伯拉罕 的後裔，是照著 應許 承受產業的了。 | And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. |
