| 2 | 智慧人的舌善发知识；愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。 | The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. |
| 3 | 耶和华的眼目无处不在；恶人善人，他都鉴察。 | The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. |
| 4 | 温良的舌是生命树；乖谬的嘴使人心碎。 | A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. |
| 5 | 愚妄人藐视父亲的管教；领受责备的，得着见识。 | A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. |
| 6 | 义人家中多有财宝；恶人得利反受扰害。 | In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble. |
| 7 | 智慧人的嘴播扬知识；愚昧人的心并不如此。 | The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so. |
| 8 | 恶人献祭，为耶和华所憎恶；正直人祈祷，为他所喜悦。 | The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. |
| 9 | 恶人的道路，为耶和华所憎恶；追求公义的，为他所喜爱。 | The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. |
| 10 | 舍弃正路的，必受严刑；恨恶责备的，必致死亡。 | Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. |
| 11 | 阴间和灭亡尚在耶和华眼前，何况世人的心呢？ | Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? |
| 12 | 亵慢人不爱受责备；他也不就近智慧人。 | A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise. |
| 13 | 心中喜乐，面带笑容；心里忧愁，灵被损伤。 | A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. |
| 14 | 聪明人心求知识；愚昧人口吃愚昧。 | The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness. |
| 15 | 困苦人的日子都是愁苦；心中欢畅的，常享丰筵。 | All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. |
| 16 | 少有财宝，敬畏耶和华，强如多有财宝，烦乱不安。 | Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. |
| 17 | 吃素菜，彼此相爱，强如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。 | Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. |
| 18 | 暴怒的人挑启争端；忍怒的人止息纷争。 | A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. |
| 19 | 懒惰人的道像荆棘的篱笆；正直人的路是平坦的大道。 | The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain. |
| 20 | 智慧子使父亲喜乐；愚昧人藐视母亲。 | A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother. |
| 21 | 无知的人以愚妄为乐；聪明的人按正直而行。 | Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly. |
| 22 | 不先商议，所谋无效；谋士众多，所谋乃成。 | Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. |
| 23 | 口善应对，自觉喜乐；话合其时，何等美好。 | A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! |
| 24 | 智慧人从生命的道上升，使他远离在下的阴间。 | The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. |
| 25 | 耶和华必拆毁骄傲人的家，却要立定寡妇的地界。 | The Lord will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow. |
| 26 | 恶谋为耶和华所憎恶；良言乃为纯净。 | The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. |
| 27 | 贪恋财利的，扰害己家；恨恶贿赂的，必得存活。 | He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. |
| 28 | 义人的心，思量如何回答；恶人的口吐出恶言。 | The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things. |
| 29 | 耶和华远离恶人，却听义人的祷告。 | The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous. |
| 30 | 眼有光，使心喜乐；好信息，使骨滋润。 | The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat. |
| 31 | 听从生命责备的，必常在智慧人中。 | The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. |
| 32 | 弃绝管教的，轻看自己的生命；听从责备的，却得智慧。 | He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. |
| 33 | 敬畏耶和华是智慧的训诲；尊荣以前，必有谦卑。 | The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. |
