| 1 | Молитва Иеремии пророка. Помяни, Господи, что бысть нам: призри и виждь укоризну нашу: | Remember, O Lord, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach. |
| 2 | достояние наше обратися к чуждим и домы нашя ко иноплеменником: | Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens. |
| 3 | сири быхом, несть отца, матери нашя яко вдовы. | We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows. |
| 4 | Воду нашу за сребро пихом, дрова наша за цену куповахом: | We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us. |
| 5 | на выя нашя гоними быхом, трудихомся, не почихом. | Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest. |
| 6 | Египет даде руку, Ассур в насыщение их. | We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread. |
| 7 | Отцы наши согрешиша, и несть их, мы же беззакония их подяхом. | Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities. |
| 8 | Раби обладаша нами, избавляющаго несть от руку их. | Servants have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us out of their hand. |
| 9 | В душах наших носихом хлеб наш, от лица меча в пустыни. | We gat our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness. |
| 10 | Кожа наша аки пещь обгоре, разседошася от лица бурей глада. | Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine. |
| 11 | Жен в Сионе смириша, девиц во градех Иудиных. | They ravished the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah. |
| 12 | Князи в руках их повешени быша, старейшины не прославишася. | Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured. |
| 13 | Избраннии плачь подяша, и юноши в кладе изнемогоша. | They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood. |
| 14 | И старцы от врат оскудеша, избраннии от песней своих умолкоша. | The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick. |
| 15 | Разсыпася радость сердец наших, обратися в плачь лик наш, | The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning. |
| 16 | спаде венец со главы нашея: горе нам, яко согрешихом. | The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned! |
| 17 | О сем смутися сердце наше, о сем померкнуша очи наши. | For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim. |
| 18 | На горе Сионе, яко погибе, лисицы ходиша. | Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it. |
| 19 | Ты же, Господи, во веки вселишися, престол Твой в род и род. | Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation. |
| 20 | Вскую во веки забываеши нас, оставиши ли нас в продолжение дний? | Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time? |
| 21 | Обрати ны, Господи, к Тебе, и обратимся, и вознови дни нашя якоже прежде. | Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. |
| 22 | Яко отревая отринул еси нас, разгневался еси на ны зело. | But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us. |
