| 1 | 以色列歟、爾因罪而顚覆、當歸爾之上帝耶和華、 | O Israel, return unto the Lord thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. |
| 2 | 以言歸耶和華曰、宥我諸愆、以恩納我、我則以言代犢、奉獻於爾、 | Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. |
| 3 | 我不恃亞述之救援、不復乘馬、不復謂我手所造者曰、爾爲我神、孤兒必蒙矜憫於爾耶和華、 | Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy. |
| 4 | 我將醫其悖逆、厚加眷愛、蓋我怒已轉離之、 | I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. |
| 5 | 我將向以色列如露、使其舒蕊如百合花、盤根若利巴嫩、 | I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. |
| 6 | 枝條散布、佳美若橄欖樹、芬芳如利巴嫩、 | His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. |
| 7 | 居其蔭下者必旋歸、茂盛如五穀、舒蕊如葡萄、香若利巴嫩之酒、 | They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. |
| 8 | 以法蓮將曰、我與偶像猶有何涉、我耶和華旣應之、必加眷顧、我若青松、爾將由我而結實、 | Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. |
| 9 | 孰爲智者、而明此事乎、孰爲哲人、而知其情乎、耶和華之途乃正、義人必履之、而罪人蹶於其中、 | Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. |
