1 耶和華諭摩西曰、我使爾於法老、如爲上帝、爾兄亞倫、代爾發言、 And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 我所諭爾者、當悉言之、爾兄亞倫宜告法老、俾釋以色列人出其境、 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 我將使之剛愎厥心、且多行我之異蹟奇事於埃及、 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 法老必不聽爾、我將伸手於埃及、降以巨災、導我軍旅以色列民出其境、 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 我伸手於埃及、導以色列民出其間、則埃及人知我爲耶和華、 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6 摩西亞倫遵耶和華命而行、 And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, so did they.
7 語法老時、摩西年八十、亞倫八十有三、○ And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8 耶和華諭摩西亞倫曰、 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9 法老命爾行奇事以爲徵、可令亞倫執杖、擲於其前、俾化爲蛇、 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
10 摩西亞倫入覲法老、遵耶和華命而行、亞倫擲杖於法老及羣臣前、遂化爲蛇、 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
11 法老召博士及巫覡、卽埃及之術士至、亦施厥術、以行是事、 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12 各擲其杖、俱化爲蛇、而其杖爲亞倫之杖所吞、 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
13 法老剛愎厥心、不聽從之、如耶和華所言、○ And he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
14 耶和華諭摩西曰、法老心頑、不欲釋民、 And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
15 詰朝法老詣河、爾往、立於河濱迎之、手執化蛇之杖、 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16 告之曰、希伯來人之上帝耶和華、遣我見爾曰、宜釋吾民、使往曠野、崇事於我、迄今爾未從之、 And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17 耶和華曰、我將以杖擊河水、其水必變爲血、緣此、爾乃知我爲耶和華、 Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 河魚將亡、河水將臭、埃及人厭飲其水、 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19 耶和華諭摩西曰、當命亞倫云、執爾杖、伸手於埃及之水、使其江河池沼、咸變爲血、埃及遍地、木石諸器、無不有血、○ And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
20 摩西亞倫遵命而行、於法老及羣臣前、舉杖擊河水、其水變爲血、 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the Lord commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21 河魚盡斃、河水悉臭、埃及人不能飲其水、通國有血、 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
22 埃及術士亦施厥術、以行是事、法老剛愎厥心、不聽從之、如耶和華所言、 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the Lord had said.
23 法老返宮、不以爲意、 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
24 埃及人不能飲河水、乃沿河掘地、求水而飲、 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25 耶和華擊河、歷至七日、 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the Lord had smitten the river.
