| 1 | 彼勒傾覆、尼波俯伏、其像負於牲畜、爾素所舁之物、成爲重負、使牲畜困憊、 | Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast. |
| 2 | 彼皆傾覆、同俯伏、不能救其重負、己亦爲人所虜、○ | They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity. |
| 3 | 雅各家、以色列之遺民歟、爾其聽我、爾自初生、爲我襁負、爾自出胎、爲我懷抱、 | Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: |
| 4 | 迄爾耄耋、皓然白首、始終如一、我必負爾、我旣創造、亦必扶持、且施拯救、 | And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. |
| 5 | 爾以誰譬我、俾能相若、以誰擬我、而得從同、 | To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? |
| 6 | 人傾囊出金、權衡其銀、僱厥金工、以鑄神像、俯伏而拜、 | They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. |
| 7 | 荷之於肩、攜之而往、置諸其所、使之屹立、不離其處、人或呼之、而不能應、不能拯人於難、○ | They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble. |
| 8 | 爾悖逆者、當記憶之、顯爲丈夫、而追念焉、 | Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. |
| 9 | 古昔之事、爾其追溯、我乃上帝、我外無他、我乃上帝、無能比擬、 | Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, |
| 10 | 我自始而示厥終、自昔而言未來之事、謂我所謀者必驗、所悅者必行、 | Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: |
| 11 | 召彼鷙鳥、至自東方、成我謀者、來自遠地、我旣言之、亦必行之、我旣定之、亦必成之、 | Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. |

| 13 | 我義伊邇、相距不遠、我之拯救、不復遲延、我必爲彰我榮之以色列、施拯救於錫安焉、 | I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory. |
