|---|---|---|
亞述王撒珥根、遣他珥探往亞實突、攻而破之、 | In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;
是時耶和華諭亞摩斯子以賽亞曰、往哉、釋爾腰之麻、解爾足之履、彼乃遵命、裸體跣足而行、 | At the same time spake the Lord by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
耶和華曰、我僕以賽亞三年裸體跣足而行、爲預兆異蹟於埃及古實、 | And the Lord said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;
如是、亞述王必將埃及之俘囚、古實之俘虜、引之而去、無論老幼、裸體跣足、顯露其臀、以辱埃及、 | So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
彼嘗以古實爲望、以埃及爲榮、必皆驚懼慚怍、 | And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
是日也、瀕海之民必曰、我所瞻望、奔赴求助、冀得脫於亞述王者、今乃若此、我儕焉能逃免哉、 | And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
