| 1 | 論埃及之預示、○耶和華乘雲、迅臨埃及、埃及之偶像、必震動於其前、埃及之人民喪膽、 | The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. |
| 2 | 我將激埃及人攻埃及人、兄弟攻兄弟、鄰里攻鄰里、邑攻邑、國攻國、 | And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. |
| 3 | 埃及人心志衰頹、其謀爲我所敗、必詢於偶像、與持呪者、巫覡及術士、 | And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. |
| 4 | 我將委埃及人於殘忍之主、使強暴之王制之、萬軍之主耶和華言之矣、○ | And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts. |
| 5 | 海水將絕、河涸而乾、 | And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up. |
| 6 | 諸川穢臭、河渠耗竭、蘆葦枯槁、 | And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither. |
| 7 | 尼羅河濱草苑、及其田畝、悉遭旱乾、一無所有、 | The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more. |
| 8 | 漁人歎息、垂約於河者傷悲、施罟於水者頹敗、 | The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish. |
| 9 | 製細枲、織白布者、俱蒙羞恥、 | Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded. |
| 10 | 柱石見碎、傭人心憂、○ | And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish. |
| 11 | 瑣安之牧伯愚甚、法老有智之謀士、所謀愚蠢、何謂法老曰、我乃哲人之後、前王之胤耶、 | Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings? |
| 12 | 爾之智者安在、萬軍之耶和華爲埃及所定者、任其知之以告爾、 | Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt. |
| 13 | 瑣安之牧伯爲愚、挪弗之牧伯見惑、埃及支派之屋隅石、引其民於迷途、 | The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof. |
| 14 | 耶和華以悖戾之意、雜於其中、俾埃及所爲乖謬、若醉人哇吐之際、步履蹁躚、 | The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit. |
| 15 | 埃及首尾、椶枝蘆葦、無一事之可爲、○ | Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do. |
| 16 | 是日也、埃及有如婦女、因萬軍之耶和華揮手其上、恐懼戰慄、 | In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it. |
| 17 | 猶大國必爲埃及所畏、因萬軍耶和華所定之謀、凡聞道及之者、無不惴恐、○ | And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined against it. |
| 18 | 是日也、埃及將有五邑言迦南方言、且指萬軍之耶和華而誓、其中一邑、稱曰亡城、○ | In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the Lord of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. |
| 19 | 是日也、埃及中央必有一壇、以祭耶和華、邊陲必有一柱、以誌耶和華、 | In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord. |
| 20 | 於埃及地、爲萬軍耶和華之兆與證、蓋衆因遭強暴、必呼籲耶和華、彼將遣救者勇者以拯之、 | And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. |
| 21 | 是日也、耶和華必見知於埃及、埃及人識耶和華、以祭以禮而事之、許願於耶和華而酬之、 | And the Lord shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the Lord, and perform it. |
| 22 | 耶和華必擊埃及、擊之而復醫之、衆則歸附耶和華、彼必聽其所祈而醫之、○ | And the Lord shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the Lord, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them. |
| 23 | 是日也、必有大道、自埃及達亞述、亞述將往埃及、埃及將往亞述、埃及亞述共崇拜焉、○ | In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. |
| 24 | 是日也、以色列埃及亞述、並列爲三、造福斯世、 | In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: |
| 25 | 蓋萬軍之耶和華祝之曰、我民埃及、我手所造之亞述、爲我業之以色列、咸蒙福祉、 | Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance. |
