1 爾心勿憂、旣信上帝、亦宜信我、 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 我父家多第宅、否則我必先告爾、我往、乃備爾所居耳、 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 若往備之、則復來接爾歸我、我所在、爾亦在焉、 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 我所往、爾知其途、 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 多馬曰、主、爾所往、我且不知、焉知其途乎、 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 耶穌曰、我卽途也、誠也、生也、非由我、則無人詣父、 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 爾若識我、則亦識我父、今而後爾識之、且曾見之、 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 腓力曰、主、以父示我儕、足矣、 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 耶穌曰、腓力、我偕爾如是之久、爾猶不識我乎、見我卽見父、爾何言以父示我耶、 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 我在父中、父在我中、爾弗信乎、我語爾者、非由己而言、乃恆在我中之父行厥行也、 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 我在父中、父在我中、爾宜信之、否則以所行者信我、 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 我誠語汝、信我者將行我之行、且行大於斯者、以我歸父也、 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 爾以我名求者、我必成之、俾父以子而榮、 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 爾以我名求於我者、我必成之、 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 爾若愛我、必守我誡、 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 我將求父、父必別以保惠師予爾、使之永偕爾也、 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 卽眞理之神、世不能納、以弗之見、且弗之識、惟爾識之、以其恆偕爾、且將在爾衷、 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 我不遺爾爲孤子、我必就爾、 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 頃之、世不復見我、惟爾見我、以我生、爾亦必生、 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 是時也、爾將知我在父中、爾在我中、我在爾中、 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 有我誡而守之者、卽愛我、愛我者、必見愛於我父、我亦愛之、且以己顯示之、 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 有猶大者、非加畧之猶大、曰、主、顯示我儕、而不顯示於世何也、 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 耶穌曰、人若愛我、必守我道、我父必愛之、我儕就而偕居焉、 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 不愛我者、不守我道、爾所聞者非我道、乃遣我之父之道也、○ He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25 我偕爾居時、言此於爾、 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 惟保惠師、卽父因我名將遣之聖神、必以萬事訓爾、且令爾悉憶我所語爾者、 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 我遺爾以安、以我之安予爾、我所予、非如世所予、爾心勿憂、勿懼、 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 爾嘗聞我云、我往而復就爾、爾若愛我、則以我歸父而喜、以父大於我也、 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 今事未成、我先告爾、俾及旣成、爾可信之、 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 此後、我與爾無多言、蓋此世之君將至、彼於我無與也、 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 但使世知我愛父、循父所命而行焉、起、我儕其去此、 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
