| 2 | 曰、我遭患難、籲耶和華、卽蒙俞允、我自陰府之腹呼號、爾聽我聲、 | And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. |
| 3 | 爾投我於深淵、在海之心、洪水環繞我、爾之波濤淹沒我、 | For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. |
| 4 | 我曰、我自爾目前見擲、然仍瞻望爾之聖殿、 | Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. |
| 5 | 大水環我、危及我魂、深淵圍我、草裹我首、 | The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. |

| 7 | 我心疲憊之時、則思念耶和華、我之祈禱、入爾聖殿、達於爾前、 | When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. |
| 8 | 凡務虛妄者、乃自絕慈惠、 | They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. |
| 9 | 惟我必以稱謝之言、獻祭於爾、償我所許之願、拯救乃由於耶和華也、 | But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord. |
| 10 | 耶和華命其魚、遂吐約拿於陸地、 | And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. |
