1 論摩押、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝曰、禍哉尼波、成爲荒蕪、基列亭被取蒙羞、米斯迦被毀抱愧、 Against Moab thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
2 摩押不復得譽、在希實本、有人謀害之曰、其來滅之、俾不復爲國、瑪得緬歟、爾亦將荒寂、鋒刃必追襲爾也、 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
3 自何羅念有聲曰、荒蕪矣、毀壞大哉、 A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.
4 摩押見滅、幼稚哀號、厥聲遠聞、 Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
5 彼上魯希、哭泣不已、下何羅念、則聞毀壞愁慘之聲、 For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.
6 爾其遁逃、自救生命、若曠野之杜松、 Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
7 爾恃己之作爲、己之財寶、必被取焉、基抹與其祭司牧伯、亦皆被虜、 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.
8 殘賊者必入諸邑、無一可免、山谷平原、咸受毀滅、如耶和華所言、 And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the Lord hath spoken.
9 其子摩押以翼、致可飛而遁去、諸邑將爲荒蕪、無人居處、 Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein.
10 作耶和華之工而草率者、可詛也、凡阻其刃不經血者、亦可詛也、 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
11 摩押自幼安逸、若酒澄滓、未從此器傾於彼器、故其味猶存、香氣未變、 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
12 耶和華曰、時日將至、我必遣司酒者傾之、空其器、毀其缾、 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
13 摩押必因基抹而愧怍、如以色列家恃伯特利而愧怍然、 And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth–el their confidence.
14 爾曹奚曰、我乃壯士、有勇戰鬬、 How say ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war?
15 大君王名萬軍之耶和華曰、摩押荒蕪、其邑焚燬、烟焰上騰、所簡少者、咸被殺戮、 Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts.
16 摩押之禍伊邇、其難速臨、 The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
17 在其四周、及凡識其名者、宜哀悼之、曰、強杖美梃、奚斷折乎、 All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!
18 處底本之女歟、其下榮位、燥渴而坐、蓋殘害摩押者、上而攻爾、毀爾保障、 Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds.
19 居亞羅珥者歟、其立路隅而瞻望、詢逃難之男、脫害之女曰、所作維何、 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?
20 摩押懷慚被毀、爾其號咷哀哭、告於亞嫩曰、摩押荒蕪矣、 Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,
21 有災降於平原、卽何倫、雅雜、米法押、 And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
22 底本、尼波、伯低比拉太音、 And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth–diblathaim,
23 基列亭、伯迦末、伯米恩、 And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth–gamul, and upon Beth–meon,
24 加畧、波斯拉、及摩押地遐邇諸邑、 And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
25 耶和華曰、摩押之角已折、其臂已斷、 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the Lord.
26 緣摩押自大、悖逆耶和華、當使之沈醉、輾轉於所哇者中、爲人姍笑、 Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the Lord: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
27 爾非姍笑以色列乎、豈遇之於盜賊中乎、每言及之、爾則搖首、 For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.
28 摩押居民歟、當離諸邑、而處巖穴、若鳩巢於澗口、 O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole’s mouth.
29 摩押驕蹇已甚、彼之矜高倨傲、中心自大、我已聞之、 We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
30 耶和華曰、我知其忿怒乃屬虛空、其矜詡未成何事、 I know his wrath, saith the Lord; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
31 故我必爲摩押號咷、爲其全地哀哭、人爲基珥哈列設哭泣、 Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kir–heres.
32 西比瑪之葡萄歟、爾枝逾海、延及雅謝之海、殘賊者至、奪爾夏果及葡萄、我必爲爾哭泣、較雅謝之哭泣尤甚、 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
33 歡欣喜樂、絕於沃壤、及摩押地、我使酒絕於醡、無人踐之而懽呼、其懽呼、不爲懽呼矣、 And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.
34 自希實本哀號、聲聞於以利亞利、延及雅雜、又自瑣珥、至於何羅念、與伊基拉施利施亞、蓋寗林水濱、將成荒蕪、 From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
35 耶和華曰、在摩押獻祭於崇邱、焚香於其神者、我必絕之、 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the Lord, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 我心爲摩押而鳴、若笛發音、爲基珥哈列設人而鳴、若簫奏響、因其所獲之豐裕已亡也、 Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir–heres: because the riches that he hath gotten are perished.
37 厥首盡髠、厥鬚盡薙、手受割、腰束麻、 For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
38 摩押屋頂衢間、隨在哀哭、蓋我毀摩押、如無人悅之器、耶和華言之矣、 There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the Lord.
39 摩押何其傾覆、何其號咷、何其慚愧而反、必爲四周之人姍笑驚駭、 They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
40 耶和華曰、敵之至也、有若鷹飛、展翼於摩押、 For thus saith the Lord; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
41 加畧見取、保障被據、是日也、摩押武士心怯、猶臨產之婦、 Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men’s hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 摩押自大、悖逆耶和華、故必毀壞、不復爲國、 And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the Lord.
43 耶和華曰、摩押居民歟、驚駭坎阱機檻、悉臨於爾、 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the Lord.
44 逃於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、蓋我必使懲罰摩押之年臨之、耶和華言之矣、 He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.
45 其逃遁者力竭、立於希實本蔭下、火自希實本而出、焰自西宏而發、盡焚摩押之鬢、曁囂陵者之顚、 They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
46 禍哉摩押歟、基抹之民已亡、爾子被虜、爾女見掠、 Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.
47 耶和華曰、惟至末日、我必返摩押之俘囚、論摩押受鞫、其言至是而止、 Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the Lord. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
