| 1 | 耶和華曰、爾往猶大王宮宣言、 | Thus saith the Lord; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word, |
| 2 | 曰、猶大王歟、爾坐大衞之位、爾與臣僕、曁爾民入是門者、其聽耶和華言、 | And say, Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates: |
| 3 | 耶和華曰、爾宜秉公行義、拯被刧者於暴者之手、勿枉賓旅孤寡、勿虐待之、勿流無辜之血於斯土、 | Thus saith the Lord; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. |
| 4 | 如爾果從斯言、則必有君王坐大衞之位、乘車服馬、與其臣僕庶民、俱由此室之門而入、 | For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people. |
| 5 | 如爾不聽斯言、耶和華曰、我指己而誓、此室必爲荒蕪、 | But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the Lord, that this house shall become a desolation. |
| 6 | 耶和華論猶大王家曰、我視爾若基列、若利巴嫩之巔、然我必使爾成爲曠野、無人居處之邑、 | For thus saith the Lord unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited. |
| 7 | 我必使殘賊者、各執器械至而攻爾、伐爾香柏之佳者、投之於火、 | And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. |
| 8 | 多邦之人經是邑者、將相語曰、耶和華如是待此大邑、何故、 | And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the Lord done thus unto this great city? |
| 9 | 則將應之曰、因彼背其上帝耶和華之約、崇拜服事他神也、○ | Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them. |
| 10 | 毋爲死者哭泣悲哀、惟爲往者痛哭、蓋彼不得復返、不再覩其故土、 | Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country. |
| 11 | 耶和華論約西亞子沙龍、繼父爲王、而出斯土、曰、彼不復返、 | For thus saith the Lord touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more: |
| 12 | 必死於被虜之地、不復覩斯土、○ | But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more. |
| 13 | 以非義建第、以不公築室、役人而不給值、其人禍矣、 | Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work; |
| 14 | 彼曰、我必建巨宅、築廣廈、闢窗牖、蓋以香柏、塗以丹雘、 | That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. |
| 15 | 爾以香柏之工競美、豈得因此爲王乎、爾父式飲式食、秉公行義、而獲福祉、 | Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him? |
| 16 | 彼爲貧乏伸寃、遂得亨通、耶和華曰、如是豈非識我乎、 | He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the Lord. |
| 17 | 惟爾心目、專務貪婪、流無辜之血、行強迫暴虐、 | But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it. |
| 18 | 故耶和華論猶大王約西亞子約雅敬云、民不悼之曰、哀哉我昆弟、哀哉我姊妹、亦不悼之曰、哀哉我主、哀哉我主之榮、 | Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory! |
| 19 | 人必曳之而出、擲於耶路撒冷邑外、瘞之如驢、○ | He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem. |
| 20 | 爾其陟利巴嫩而哀號、在巴珊揚聲、自亞巴琳哀號、蓋爾之情人皆亡矣、 | Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed. |
| 21 | 爾興盛時、我與爾言、惟爾曰、我不聽、爾自幼時、所爲若是、不從我言、 | I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice. |
| 22 | 爾之民牧、必爲風吞噬、爾之情人、必爲人俘囚、其時爾必因行諸惡、含羞抱愧、 | The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness. |
| 23 | 居利巴嫩、巢於香柏者歟、爾遭難時、若產婦之劬勞、何其可憫、 | O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail! |
| 24 | 耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、猶大王約雅敬子哥尼雅、雖爲我右手之印、我必脫爾、 | As I live, saith the Lord, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence; |
| 25 | 付於索爾命、及爾所畏者之手、卽巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、與迦勒底人之手也、 | And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans. |
| 26 | 我必驅爾、及生爾之母、入於他邦、非爾生長之區、必死於彼、 | And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die. |
| 27 | 厥心所慕之地、不得返焉、 | But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return. |
| 28 | 此哥尼亞、乃爲見棄之毀器、無人悅之乎、彼與其裔、何爲被逐、投於未識之地耶、 | Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not? |

| 30 | 耶和華曰、宜錄斯人無嗣、畢生不獲亨通、其裔無有利達、坐大衞之位、而治猶大也、 | Thus saith the Lord, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah. |
