1 以色列王耶羅波安二十七年、猶大王亞瑪謝子亞撒利雅卽位、 In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2 時、年十有六歲、在耶路撒冷爲王、凡五十二年、其母名耶可利雅、耶路撒冷人也、 Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3 亞撒利雅行耶和華所悅、效其父亞瑪謝所爲、 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4 惟崇邱未廢、民仍獻祭焚香於其上、 Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5 耶和華擊王、使之患癩、至於畢生、獨居別室、其子約坦理家政、治國民、 And the Lord smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6 亞撒利雅其餘事蹟、凡其所行、俱載於猶大列王紀、 And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7 亞撒利雅與列祖偕眠、同葬於大衞城、子約坦嗣位、○ So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
8 猶大王亞撒利雅三十八年、耶羅波安子撒迦利雅、在撒瑪利亞爲以色列王、僅歷六月、 In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.
9 行耶和華所惡、效其列祖所爲、不離棄尼八子耶羅波安陷以色列人之罪、 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
10 雅比子沙龍叛之、弒之於民前、而篡其位、 And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
11 撒迦利雅其餘事蹟、俱載於以色列列王紀、 And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12 昔耶和華諭耶戶曰、爾之子孫、必踐以色列國位、迄於四代、此言應矣、○ This was the word of the Lord which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.
13 猶大王烏西雅三十九年、雅比子沙龍卽位、在撒瑪利亞爲王僅歷一月、 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
14 迦底子米拿現、自得撒上至撒瑪利亞弒之、而篡其位、 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15 沙龍其餘事蹟、及其謀逆之事、俱載於以色列列王紀、 And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
16 當時米拿現攻提斐薩、殺戮其居民、刳剔其孕婦、並自得撒擊其四境、因不爲之啟門故也、○ Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17 猶大王亞撒利雅三十九年、迦底子米拿現卽位、在撒瑪利亞爲以色列王、凡歷十年、 In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18 行耶和華所惡、不離棄尼八子耶羅波安陷以色列人之罪、至於畢生、 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19 亞述王普勒來攻斯土、米拿現饋銀一千他連得、請輔助之、固其國位、 And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20 米拿現強索以色列之富豪、使各出銀五十舍客勒、以予亞述王、於是亞述王旋返、不駐斯土、 And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.
21 米拿現其餘事蹟、凡其所行、俱載於以色列列王紀、 And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
22 米拿現與列祖偕眠、子比加轄嗣位、○ And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.
23 猶大王亞撒利雅五十年、米拿現子比加轄卽位、在撒瑪利亞爲以色列王、凡歷二年、 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
24 行耶和華所惡、不離棄尼八子耶羅波安陷以色列人之罪、 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
25 其軍長利瑪利子比加叛之、在撒瑪利亞王宮之衞所弒之、及亞珥歌伯與亞利耶、有基列人五十、與之同謀、弒王而篡其位、 But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.
26 比加轄其餘事蹟、凡其所行、俱載於以色列列王紀、○ And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
27 猶大王亞撒利雅五十二年、利瑪利子比加卽位、在撒瑪利亞爲以色列王、歷二十年、 In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
28 行耶和華所惡、不離棄尼八子耶羅波安陷以色列人之罪、 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
29 以色列王比加在位時、亞述王提革拉毘列色至、取以雲、亞伯伯瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利、拿弗他利全地、虜其居民、至亞述、 In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath–pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel–beth–maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.
30 烏西雅子約坦二十年、以拉子何細亞叛利瑪利子比加、擊而弒之、而篡其位、 And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
31 比加其餘事蹟、凡其所行、俱載於以色列列王紀、○ And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
32 以色列王利瑪利子比加二年、猶大王烏西雅子約坦卽位、 In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.
33 時、年二十有五、在耶路撒冷爲王、歷十六年、其母名耶路沙、撒督女也、 Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
34 約坦行耶和華所悅、效其父烏西雅所爲、 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
35 惟崇邱未廢、民仍獻祭焚香於其上、約坦建耶和華室之上門、 Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the Lord.
36 約坦其餘事蹟、凡其所行、俱載於猶大列王紀、 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
37 是時耶和華始遣亞蘭王利汛、及利瑪利子比加、往攻猶大、 In those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
38 約坦與列祖偕眠、同葬於大衞城、子亞哈斯嗣位、 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
