1 所羅門治以色列衆、 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 其臣如左、撒督子亞撒利亞爲祭司、 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3 示沙二子、以利何烈亞希亞爲繕寫、亞希律子約沙法爲史官、 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4 耶何耶大子比拿雅爲軍長、撒督亞比亞他爲祭司、 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5 拿單子亞撒利亞爲官吏之長、拿單子撒布得爲相、亦爲王友、 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6 亞希煞掌宮闈、亞比大子亞多尼蘭理工役、 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7 所羅門又於以色列全地、設官十二、月委其一、爲王及宮廷備食物、 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8 其名如左、便戶珥在以法蓮山地、 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9 便底甲在瑪迦斯、沙賓、伯示麥、以倫伯哈南、 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:
10 便希悉在亞魯泊、梭哥希弗屬之、 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11 便亞比拿達在多珥四境、彼娶所羅門女他法爲妻、 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
12 亞希律子巴拿、在他納、米吉多、及伯善四境、在耶斯列之下、近撒拉他拿、自伯善至亞伯米何拉、延及約念之外、 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13 便基別在基列拉末、瑪拿西子睚珥之基列諸邑、與巴珊之亞珥歌伯境、有牆垣銅楗之大邑六十、俱屬之、 The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14 易多子亞希拿達在瑪哈念、 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15 亞希瑪斯在拿弗他利、彼亦娶所羅門女巴實抹爲妻、 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16 戶篩子巴拿在亞設及亞祿、 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17 帕路亞子約沙法在以薩迦、 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18 以拉子示每在便雅憫、 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19 烏利子基別在基列、卽亞摩利王西宏、巴珊王噩之地、此地惟彼爲官、○ Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20 猶大與以色列人、多如海濱之沙、飲食歡樂、 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 所羅門轄諸國、自大河至非利士地、延及埃及境、皆納貢服事所羅門、至其畢生、 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 所羅門食物、日需細麪三十歌珥、粗麪六十歌珥、 And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23 肥牛十、草場之牛二十、羊一百、又有鹿麞赤鹿、及肥禽、 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24 大河之西自提弗薩、延及迦薩列王、皆爲所羅門所轄、四周綏安、 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 所羅門存日、猶大與以色列人、自但至別是巴、各安居於其葡萄無花果樹下、 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 所羅門有服車之馬四萬厩、騎兵一萬二千、 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 十二官各按月期、爲所羅門王、及與王同席之人備食物、無所缺乏、 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28 又攜麰麥蒭蕘而至、以養馬及捷足之驥、各循其職、○ Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29 上帝賜所羅門智慧、明哲、宏博、如海濱之沙、不可測焉、 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 其智慧超乎東方人、與埃及人、 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 其明哲勝於萬人、超乎以斯拉人以探、及瑪曷子、希幔、甲各、達大、其聲名洋溢於四周之國、 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 所羅門作箴三千言、作詩千有五篇、 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 亦論草木、自利巴嫩之香柏、及牆上之牛膝草、又論鳥獸蟲魚、 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 天下列王、聞所羅門之智慧、其民遂來聽之、 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
