| 1 | 耶和華諭哈拿尼子耶戶、責巴沙曰、 | Then the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying, |
| 2 | 昔我舉爾於塵埃、立爲我民以色列之君、而爾行耶羅波安之道、使我民以色列陷罪、激我之怒、 | Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins; |
| 3 | 我必掃除巴沙及其家、使如尼八子耶羅波安家然、 | Behold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house; and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat. |
| 4 | 凡屬巴沙、死於邑者、犬必食之、死於野者、鳥必食之、 | Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the fields shall the fowls of the air eat. |
| 5 | 巴沙其餘事蹟、凡其所爲、及其勇力、俱載於以色列列王紀、 | Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? |
| 6 | 巴沙與列祖偕眠、葬於得撒、子以拉嗣位、 | So Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah: and Elah his son reigned in his stead. |
| 7 | 耶和華藉哈拿尼子先知耶戶、責巴沙及其家、因其行耶和華所惡、以其手所爲、激厥震怒、效耶羅波安家、而殺其人、○ | And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the Lord against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him. |
| 8 | 猶大王亞撒二十六年、巴沙子以拉、在得撒卽位、爲以色列王、凡歷二年、 | In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to reign over Israel in Tirzah, two years. |
| 9 | 其僕心利、統戰車之半者叛之、以拉在得撒家宰亞雜之室飲醉、 | And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza steward of his house in Tirzah. |
| 10 | 心利入室、擊而弒之、繼之爲王、事在猶大王亞撒二十七年、 | And Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead. |
| 11 | 心利卽位、則擊巴沙全家、彼之戚屬友朋、不遺一男、 | And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends. |
| 12 | 心利滅巴沙全家、乃依耶和華藉先知耶戶、責巴沙之言、 | Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the prophet, |
| 13 | 因巴沙及其子以拉所犯之罪、使以色列人陷之、且事虛無、激以色列上帝耶和華之怒、 | For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their vanities. |
| 14 | 以拉其餘事蹟、凡其所爲、俱載於以色列列王紀、○ | Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? |
| 15 | 猶大王亞撒二十七年、心利在得撒爲王、僅歷七日、時、民衆建營、攻屬非利士人之基比頓、 | In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. And the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines. |
| 16 | 在營之民、聞心利叛而弒王、是日以色列衆、於其營中、立軍長暗利爲以色列王、 | And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp. |
| 17 | 暗利率以色列衆、自基比頓、上圍得撒、 | And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah. |
| 18 | 心利見城已陷、乃入王宮之衞所、縱火焚宮而死、 | And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with fire, and died, |
| 19 | 緣其犯罪、行耶和華所惡、循耶羅波安之道、干其陷以色列人之罪、 | For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the Lord, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin. |
| 20 | 心利其餘事蹟、及其叛逆、俱載於以色列列王紀、○ | Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he wrought, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? |
| 21 | 時、以色列民分而爲二、半從基納子提比尼、欲立之爲王、半從暗利、 | Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri. |
| 22 | 從暗利之民、勝於從基納子提比尼之民、提比尼旣沒、暗利爲王、○ | But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned. |
| 23 | 猶大王亞撒三十一年、暗利卽位、爲以色列王、歷十有二年、在得撒爲王六年、 | In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah. |
| 24 | 以銀二他連得與撒瑪、購撒瑪利亞山、建邑於山、以山主撒瑪之名、稱其邑曰撒瑪利亞、 | And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Samaria. |
| 25 | 暗利行耶和華所惡、較前王尤甚、 | But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the Lord, and did worse than all that were before him. |
| 26 | 循尼八子耶羅波安之道、干其陷以色列人之罪、且事虛無、激以色列上帝耶和華之怒、 | For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger with their vanities. |
| 27 | 暗利其餘事蹟、及其所著之勇力、俱載於以色列列王紀、 | Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he shewed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? |
| 28 | 暗利與列祖偕眠、葬於撒瑪利亞、子亞哈嗣位、○ | So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria: and Ahab his son reigned in his stead. |
| 29 | 猶大王亞撒三十八年、暗利子亞哈卽位、在撒瑪利亞爲以色列王、歷二十二年、 | And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years. |
| 30 | 行耶和華所惡、較前王尤甚、 | And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were before him. |
| 31 | 循尼八子耶羅波安之道、以爲細事、乃娶西頓王謁巴力女耶洗別爲后、從而服事崇拜巴力、 | And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him. |
| 32 | 在撒瑪利亞建巴力廟、爲之築壇於廟中、 | And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. |
| 33 | 亦作木偶、亞哈所行、激以色列上帝耶和華之怒、較以色列前王尤甚、 | And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him. |
| 34 | 亞哈時、伯特利人希伊勒、重建耶利哥、立基時、則喪長子亞比蘭、置門時、則喪季子西割、應耶和華藉嫩之子約書亞所言、 | In his days did Hiel the Beth–elite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun. |
