1 所羅門建耶和華室、及己宮室、歷二十年、 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,
2 厥後、重建戶蘭所予諸邑、使以色列人居之、○ That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
3 所羅門往攻哈馬瑣巴、取之、 And Solomon went to Hamath–zobah, and prevailed against it.
4 在曠野建達莫、在哈馬建府庫之邑、 And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
5 又建上伯和崙、下伯和崙、俱爲保障之邑、有垣、有門、有楗、 Also he built Beth–horon the upper, and Beth–horon the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
6 又建巴拉、及諸府庫之邑、車乘之邑、騎兵之邑、又在耶路撒冷、利巴嫩、與所轄全地、凡所欲建則建之、 And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
7 斯土所遺赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、非屬以色列族、 As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
8 卽以色列人所未滅者、所羅門徵其子孫服役、迄於今日、 But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
9 惟以色列人、所羅門不使之服役、乃爲戰士、軍長、及車騎之長、 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
10 所羅門有監工者二百五十人、以督操作之衆、 And these were the chief of king Solomon’s officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
11 所羅門攜法老女、自大衞城、至爲彼所建之宮、蓋曰、我后不得居以色列王大衞之宮、因耶和華匱所至之處、皆爲聖地、○ And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the Lord hath come.
12 所羅門在廊前所建耶和華之壇、獻燔祭於耶和華、 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,
13 循摩西之命、依其日所宜、於安息日、月朔、及年中三節、除酵節、七七節、構廬節獻之、 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
14 又遵其父大衞之例、定祭司之班次、以供役事、又定利未人之職任、使掌頌讚、亦在祭司前供事、循每日所宜、又立閽人、循其班次、以守各門、是乃上帝僕大衞所命、 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
15 王所命祭司及利未人、或掌府庫、或理他事、皆莫之違、 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
16 所羅門建耶和華室、自築基以迄告成、工材俱備、於是耶和華室完備無缺、○ Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.
17 時、所羅門往以東地、至濱海之以旬迦別、及以祿、 Then went Solomon to Ezion–geber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
18 戶蘭藉其臣僕遣舟、及諳於航海之僕至、其僕與所羅門之僕、偕往俄斐、得金四百五十他連得、運至所羅門王、 And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
