| 1 | 耶路撒冷居民立約蘭季子亞哈謝、繼之爲王、因與亞拉伯人同來攻營之羣衆、殺約蘭諸子之長者、故亞哈謝爲王、 | And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned. |
| 2 | 其卽位時、年二十有二、在耶路撒冷爲王、僅歷一年、其母名亞他利雅、暗利女孫也、 | Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. |
| 3 | 亞哈謝循亞哈家之道、蓋其母主謀、使之行惡、 | He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly. |
| 4 | 行耶和華所惡、如亞哈家然、其父沒後、亞哈家爲之主謀、致其淪喪、 | Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the Lord like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction. |
| 5 | 且從亞哈家之謀、偕以色列王亞哈子約蘭、往基列拉末、與亞蘭王哈薛戰、約蘭爲亞蘭人所傷、 | He walked also after their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth–gilead: and the Syrians smote Joram. |

And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, because he was sick. |
| 7 | 亞哈謝往見約蘭而淪亡、乃由於上帝、蓋彼旣至、則偕約蘭出迎寧示子耶戶、卽耶和華所膏、以滅亞哈家者、 | And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab. |
| 8 | 耶戶懲罰亞哈家時、遇猶大牧伯、與服事亞哈謝之諸姪、遂殺之、 | And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them. |

So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom. |
| 10 | 亞哈謝母亞他利雅見子已死、起而殲滅猶大王室、 | But when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah. |
| 11 | 約蘭王女、亞哈謝妹、祭司耶何耶大妻約示巴於見殺之王子中、竊亞哈謝子約阿施出、與其乳媼藏於寢室、以避亞他利雅、免其被殺、 | But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not. |
| 12 | 偕匿於上帝室、歷有六年、亞他利雅治理斯土、 | And he was with them hid in the house of God six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land. |
