| 10 | 以斯拉決志究察耶和華律、而遵行之、且以典章律例、訓誨於以色列中、○ | For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. |
| 11 | 祭司以斯拉爲文士、明耶和華之誡命、及所賜以色列之典章、亞達薛西王降詔、其文曰、 | Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the Lord, and of his statutes to Israel. |
| 12 | 諸王之王亞達薛西、告祭司以斯拉、明天上上帝律之文士、完人等稱、 | Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time. |
| 13 | 我諭國中以色列民、祭司利未人、凡樂意往耶路撒冷者、與爾偕往、 | I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee. |
| 14 | 爾旣爲王與其謀士七人所遣、循在爾手之上帝律、以察猶大耶路撒冷之事、 | Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand; |
| 15 | 且攜王與謀士所樂輸以色列上帝之金銀、其居所在耶路撒冷、 | And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem, |
| 16 | 又攜在巴比倫州所得之金銀、及民與祭司爲其上帝室在耶路撒冷、所樂輸者、 | And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem: |
| 17 | 當以此金速購牡犢、牡綿羊、綿羊羔、及相隨之素祭與灌祭、獻於耶路撒冷爾上帝室之壇、 | That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem. |
| 18 | 其餘金銀、依爾與同儕所視爲善者、循爾上帝旨而用之、 | And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God. |
| 19 | 所付爾之器皿、供事於爾上帝室者、當付於耶路撒冷之上帝前、 | The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem. |
| 20 | 爾上帝室復有所需、則可取諸王庫、 | And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king’s treasure house. |
| 21 | 我亞達薛西王降詔、命河西諸司庫、祭司以斯拉、明天上上帝律之文士、凡有所求、必速爲之、 | And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily, |
| 22 | 銀一百他連得、麥一百歌珥、酒一百罷特、油一百罷特爲限、鹽不計數、 | Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much. |
| 23 | 凡天上上帝所命者、當爲其室、詳審爲之、何可招怒、及於王國、與其諸子哉、 | Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons? |
| 24 | 我諭爾曹、凡祭司利未人、謳歌者、司閽者、尼提甯人、及上帝室諸供役者、勿使進貢、輸餉納稅、 | Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them. |
| 25 | 命爾以斯拉、憑爾上帝所賦之智、設立有司士師、以治河西之民、悉爾上帝律者、其未悉者、則訓迪之、 | And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not. |
| 26 | 凡不遵爾上帝之律、及王命者、速加以刑、或殛、或竄、或籍其家、或囚於獄、○ | And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment. |
| 27 | 我列祖之上帝耶和華、宜頌美焉、彼置此意於王心、修飾耶和華室、在耶路撒冷、 | Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem: |
| 28 | 施恩於我、在王與其謀士、及有權之軍長前、我蒙我上帝耶和華祐、則強厥志、集以色列族長、與我偕上、 | And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me. |
