| 2 | 願恩惠平康、由我父上帝、及主耶穌基督歸爾、○ | Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 3 | 祝頌上帝、我主耶穌基督之父、曾由基督、祝我以在天屬神之諸福、 | Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: |
| 4 | 卽如創世之先、由基督選我儕、俾在其前聖而無玷、 | According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: |
| 5 | 依厥善旨、以愛豫定我儕、由耶穌基督得爲其子、 | Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, |
| 6 | 致讚其恩之榮、卽於其愛子中樂賜我儕者、 | To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. |
| 7 | 我儕於彼因其血而得贖、卽罪之赦、依上帝洪恩也、 | In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; |
| 8 | 此恩、乃上帝以諸智諸識溢於我者、 | Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; |
| 9 | 示我以厥旨之奧祕、循其善意、乃於彼中所定者、 | Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: |
| 10 | 迨期滿時、在天在地之萬有、悉統一於基督、 | That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: |
| 11 | 我儕於彼亦得爲業、乃依己旨行萬事者所豫定、 | In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: |
| 12 | 致使其榮、因我儕先於基督有望者、得頌讚焉、 | That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. |
| 13 | 爾於彼旣聞眞道、卽救爾之福音、且信之、則受所許聖神之印、 | In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, |
| 14 | 此乃我儕嗣業之質、迨上帝之業見贖、其榮則得頌讚、 | Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. |
| 15 | 故我聞爾於主耶穌之信、向諸聖徒之愛、 | Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, |
| 16 | 則爲爾感謝不已、祈禱時常念及爾、 | Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; |
| 17 | 俾我主耶穌基督之上帝、有榮之父、賜爾明智與啟示之靈、以識上帝、 | That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: |
| 18 | 心目克明、俾知爾蒙其召所望何如、彼於諸聖徒之業、其榮之豐富何如、 | The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, |
| 19 | 且於我諸信者、其能之浩大何如、乃依其能力運行於基督中、卽自死起之之時、使坐其右於天、 | And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, |
| 20 | 且於我諸信者、其能之浩大何如、乃依其能力運行於基督中、卽自死起之之時、使坐其右於天、 | Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, |
| 21 | 超乎諸執政者、秉權者、有能者、宰治者、及凡有名者、不第今世、亦在來世、 | Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: |
| 22 | 且服萬有於其足下、使爲萬有之首於教會、 | And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, |
| 23 | 教會爲其體、乃充乎萬有者之所充也、 | Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. |
