| 1 | 利未人祭司、及其全支派、在以色列中無分無業、可食獻於耶和華之火祭、及其產業、 | The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and his inheritance. |
| 2 | 彼在昆弟中無業、耶和華爲其業、如其所諭、 | Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the Lord is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them. |
| 3 | 民獻祭、或牛或羊、祭司所當得者、前腿兩頰與胃、 | And this shall be the priest’s due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw. |
| 4 | 初熟之穀、及酒與油、首剪之羊毛、亦必給之、 | The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. |
| 5 | 蓋爾上帝耶和華於爾諸支派中、選彼及其子孫、藉耶和華之名、侍立服役、歷世靡曁、○ | For the Lord thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the Lord, him and his sons for ever. |
| 6 | 如有利未人離其所居以色列之邑、一心願至耶和華所選之處、 | And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the Lord shall choose; |
| 7 | 則亦可藉其上帝耶和華之名、以供役事、如其昆弟立於耶和華前之利未人然、 | Then he shall minister in the name of the Lord his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the Lord. |
| 8 | 分其所得之食、而己鬻祖業所得之金不與焉、○ | They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony. |
| 9 | 旣至爾上帝耶和華所賜之地、勿效其民所爲可惡之事、 | When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. |
| 10 | 凡使子女經火者、卜筮者、觀兆者、用法術者、行邪術者、 | There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, |
| 11 | 持咒者、交鬼者、爲覡者、招魂者、勿留之於爾中、 | Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. |
| 12 | 凡行此者、皆爲耶和華所惡、諸族行此可惡之事、故爾上帝耶和華逐之於爾前、 | For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. |
| 13 | 爾於爾上帝耶和華、當爲純全之人、 | Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. |
| 14 | 爾所將逐之族、聽從觀兆者、卜筮者、惟爾上帝耶和華、不容爾行是、 | For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. |
| 15 | 爾上帝耶和華將於爾昆弟中、爲爾挺生先知若我、爾宜聽之、 | The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; |
| 16 | 昔在何烈大會之日、爾求爾上帝耶和華曰、我上帝耶和華之聲、勿使再聞、烈火勿令復見、免我死亡、 | According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. |
| 17 | 時、耶和華諭我曰、彼所言者善也、 | And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. |
| 18 | 我將於其昆弟中、爲彼挺生先知如爾、以我言授於其口、使以我命悉告於衆、 | I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. |
| 19 | 彼藉我名所傳之言、凡不聽從者、我必討之、 | And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. |
| 20 | 如有先知擅藉我名、言我所未諭者、或藉他神之名而言、必致之死、 | But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. |
| 21 | 如爾意謂、耶和華所未諭之言、何以知之、 | And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? |
| 22 | 凡先知藉耶和華之名而言、事有不成不驗、則非耶和華之言、乃先知自擅而言耳、爾勿畏之、 | When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. |
