1 耶和華歟、與我爭者、爾與之爭、與我戰者、爾與之戰、 Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
2 持干與盾、立而助我、 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
3 拔戟禦追我者、謂我魂曰、我爲爾之拯救兮、 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
4 俾索取我命者、受辱蒙羞、謀害我躬者、卻退愧恥兮、 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
5 使如風前之糠、耶和華使者驅逐之兮、 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them.
6 其路幽暗而滑澾、耶和華使者追襲之兮、 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them.
7 以彼無端暗設其網、掘阱欲害我魂兮、 For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.
8 願災禍猝臨之、自罹暗設之網、自陷所掘之阱兮、 Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
9 我心必因耶和華而樂、緣其拯救而喜兮、 And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
10 我形骸曰、耶和華歟、拯貧者於強梁、援窮乏於盜刦、孰似爾兮、 All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
11 兇惡之證興起、以所不知之事詰我兮、 False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
12 以惡報善、使我魂孤苦兮、 They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.
13 若我、於彼病時、衣麻禁食、刻苦己心、然我所祈、返於我衷兮、 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
14 我之所行、如喪友朋昆弟、屈身悲哀、如哭母兮、 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
15 惟我遭難、彼衆歡聚、下流之輩、我不識者、集而攻我、裂之不已兮、 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
16 彼如筵間戲謔之妄人、向我切齒兮、 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
17 主歟、旁觀不顧、將至何時、拯我魂於強暴、救我命於壯獅兮、 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.
18 我則於大會中稱謝爾、於多民中頌讚爾兮、 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.
19 勿容無理仇我者、向我誇口、無端憾我者、向我眨目兮、 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
20 彼不言和平、安居地上者、圖詭詞以害之兮、 For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.
21 肆口謗我曰、嘻嘻、我目見之兮、 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.
22 主耶和華歟、爾旣見止、勿緘默、勿遠我兮、 This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.
23 我上帝、我主歟、奮然而興、伸我寃、判我獄兮、 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.
24 耶和華我上帝歟、依爾義而判之、勿使敵爲我而誇兮、 Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
25 勿容其心曰、嘻、適如我願、勿容彼曰、我已吞之兮、 Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
26 幸我遘災者、俾其懷慚抱愧、向我誇大者、俾其被辱蒙羞兮、 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
27 樂我義讞者、願其歡呼欣喜、悅其僕獲福之耶和華、宜恆尊之爲大兮、 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
28 我舌必言爾義、終日頌讚兮、 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
