| 1 | 耶和華歟、何爲遙立、當患難時、何爲隱避、 | Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? |
| 2 | 惡人驕肆、窘迫貧民、願其陷於己謀兮、 | The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. |
| 3 | 惡者以心之欲爲誇、貪者背棄耶和華、而侮慢之、 | For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth. |
| 4 | 惡者其容驕矜、謂耶和華必不究斥、意中絕無上帝兮、 | The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. |
| 5 | 彼之所爲、恆穩固兮、爾之讞典高遠、其目所不及、凡厥仇敵、悉爲所叱兮、 | His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. |
| 6 | 意謂我躬不致動搖、累世不經挫折、 | He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. |
| 7 | 呪詛詭譎殘刻盈其口、很毒邪慝在其舌、 | His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. |
| 8 | 蹲伏鄉曲、暗殺無辜、眈眈於煢獨兮、 | He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. |
| 9 | 潛伏幽暗、如獅在林、伺捕貧人、曳其網而獲之、 | He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. |
| 10 | 屈身蹲踞、煢獨隕於其強暴兮、 | He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. |
| 11 | 意謂上帝忘之、永蒙厥面、而弗視兮、 | He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. |
| 12 | 耶和華歟、爾其興起、上帝歟、爾其伸手、毋忘貧民兮、 | Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. |
| 13 | 惡者奚藐上帝、以爲不加究斥、 | Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it. |
| 14 | 爾實鑒觀、灼見殘暴很毒、而手報之、煢獨惟爾依歸、孤兒蒙爾扶助兮、 | Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. |
| 15 | 惡者之臂、願爾折之、窮詰其罪、至於無遺兮、 | Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none. |
| 16 | 耶和華爲君、永世靡曁、列邦見絕於其地兮、 | The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land. |
| 17 | 耶和華歟、謙卑者之祈、爾已聞之、必堅厥志、傾耳聽之、 | Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: |
| 18 | 雪孤兒與屈者之寃、俾世人不復施其威兮、 | To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress. |
