| 1 | 萬軍之耶和華諭曰、 | Again the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, |
| 2 | 萬軍之耶和華云、我爲錫安熱中特甚、爲之憤嫉、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. |
| 3 | 耶和華云、我返於錫安、將居耶路撒冷中、耶路撒冷將稱爲眞誠之邑、萬軍耶和華之山、將稱爲聖山、 | Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain. |
| 4 | 萬軍之耶和華云、將有老夫老婦、坐於耶路撒冷之衢、各因壽高、手扶厥杖、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. |
| 5 | 邑中街衢、滿有童男幼女、戲玩其間、 | And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. |
| 6 | 萬軍之耶和華云、是日也、遺民若視爲奇異、我亦視爲奇異乎、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 7 | 萬軍之耶和華云、我將自東自西、拯救我民、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; |
| 8 | 導之而至、使居耶路撒冷中、彼爲我民、我以誠以義、爲其上帝、 | And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness. |
| 9 | 萬軍之耶和華云、建耶和華殿、立基之時、先知在焉、爾曹是日聞其口出之言、其強乃手、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. |
| 10 | 是日之前、人不得值、畜不得值、人之出入、緣敵而不得安、我使其衆彼此相攻故也、 | For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour. |
| 11 | 萬軍之耶和華曰、今我待此遺民、不同曩昔、 | But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 12 | 必穫平安之穡、葡萄結實、地出其產、天降其露、我必使斯遺民、得此諸物、 | For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. |
| 13 | 猶大與以色列家歟、爾在列邦、爲人呪詛、我將救爾、使爾爲人祝嘏、勿懼、其強乃手、 | And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. |
| 14 | 萬軍之耶和華云、爾列祖激我怒時、我擬降災、而不回意、 | For thus saith the Lord of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord of hosts, and I repented not: |
| 15 | 今我亦擬施恩於耶路撒冷、與猶大家、爾其勿懼、 | So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not. |
| 16 | 爾所當行者、乃與鄰里言、各以誠實、在爾邑門、行公正和平之鞫、 | These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: |
| 17 | 勿中心謀惡、以害鄰里、勿好僞誓、蓋此悉我所惡、耶和華言之矣、○ | And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord. |
| 18 | 萬軍之耶和華諭我曰、 | And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying, |
| 19 | 萬軍之耶和華云、四月五月、七月十月、禁食之期、在猶大家、將爲喜樂歡忭之期、欣悅之節、爾宜誠實和平是好、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace. |
| 20 | 萬軍之耶和華云、厥後必有諸民、及多邑之居民將至、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: |
| 21 | 此邑之民、詣彼邑曰、我儕速往、求耶和華之恩、尋萬軍之耶和華、我亦偕往、 | And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also. |
| 22 | 將有多民、強大之邦、往耶路撒冷、尋萬軍之耶和華、而乞其恩、 | Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. |
| 23 | 萬軍之耶和華云、是日異言之列邦中、將有十人、執猶大一人之裾曰、我聞上帝偕爾、我欲與爾偕行、 | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. |
