| 1 | 耶穌出殿、其徒之一曰、夫子、試觀斯石若何、屋宇若何、 | And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! |
| 2 | 耶穌曰、爾見斯大宇耶、將無一石遺於石上、而弗圮也、○ | And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. |
| 3 | 耶穌於橄欖山對殿而坐、彼得、雅各、約翰、安得烈、竊問曰、 | And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, |
| 4 | 請告我、何時有是、此諸事將成、有何兆乎、 | Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? |
| 5 | 耶穌曰、愼勿爲人所惑、 | And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: |
| 6 | 將多有冒我名而來者、曰、我基督也、致惑多人、 | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. |
| 7 | 且爾將聞戰及戰之風聲、毋懼、此事必有、惟末期未至耳、 | And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. |
| 8 | 民將攻民、國將攻國、隨在地震饑饉、斯乃劬勞之始也、○ | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. |
| 9 | 爾宜自愼、人將付爾於公會、撻爾於會堂、且爲我故、將立於侯王前、而爲之證、 | But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. |
| 10 | 福音必先傳於萬國、 | And the gospel must first be published among all nations. |
| 11 | 曳爾付爾時、毋先慮何以言、當時賜爾何言、則言之、蓋非爾言、乃聖神也、 | But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. |
| 12 | 兄將致弟於死、父之於子亦然、子將攻其父母而死之、 | Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. |
| 13 | 爾因我名爲衆所憾、惟終忍者得救也、○ | And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
| 14 | 讀經者宜悟哉、爾見穢惡摧殘者、立於不當立之地、斯時也、居猶太者宜遁於山、 | But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains: |
| 15 | 乘屋者勿下、勿入室取物、 | And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: |
| 16 | 在田者勿歸取衣、 | And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. |
| 17 | 妊婦乳婦禍矣、 | But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! |
| 18 | 宜祈禱、免冬時值此也、 | And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. |
| 19 | 蓋是時將有災難、自上帝造物之始、以迄於今、未嘗如此、後永無之、 | For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. |
| 20 | 若主未減其日、則無得救者、但爲選民故、乃減其日也、 | And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. |
| 21 | 時、若有告爾基督在此、或在彼、勿信、 | And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: |
| 22 | 蓋將有僞基督僞先知起、施異蹟奇事、設能惑選民、則亦惑之矣、 | For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. |
| 23 | 愼之哉、我悉豫告爾矣、○ | But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. |
| 24 | 當是時也、災難之後、日將冥、月無光、 | But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, |
| 25 | 星隕自天、天象震動、 | And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. |
| 26 | 且見人子以大權大榮、乘雲而來、 | And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. |
| 27 | 必遣諸使、集厥選民於四方、自地之極、至天之涯、○ | And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. |
| 28 | 可由無花果樹取譬、其枝柔葉萌、則知夏近矣、 | Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: |
| 29 | 如是、爾見此事將成、則知人子近已及門矣、 | So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. |
| 30 | 我誠語汝、此代未逝、斯事皆成、 | Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. |
| 31 | 天地必廢、我言不廢、 | Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. |
| 32 | 然其日其時、人不知、天使與子亦不知、惟父知之、 | But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. |
| 33 | 愼之哉、儆醒祈禱、以爾不知其期也、 | Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. |
| 34 | 譬人去家遠遊、委權於僕、各有所司、命閽者儆醒、 | For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. |
| 35 | 是以爾宜儆醒、因不知家主何時至、或昏暮、或夜半、或鷄鳴、或平旦、 | Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: |
| 36 | 恐突如其來、遇爾寢焉、 | Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. |
| 37 | 我所語爾者、亦以語衆、宜儆醒也、 | And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. |
