1 耶穌去彼、至猶太境、及約但外、衆復集就之、耶穌如常訓誨、 And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
2 有法利賽人就而問曰、人出妻可乎、蓋試之也、 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
3 耶穌曰、摩西命爾何耶、 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4 曰、摩西許書離書出之、 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
5 耶穌曰、以爾心頑、故書斯命予爾、 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6 然自造物之始、卽造男女、 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 緣此、人必離父母、膠漆其妻、 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8 二者成爲一體、如是、不復爲二、乃一體矣、 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
9 故上帝所耦者、人不可分之也、 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
10 入室、門徒復以此問之、 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
11 耶穌曰、凡棄妻而他娶者、乃負妻行淫也、 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
12 妻棄夫而他適者、亦行淫也、○ And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
13 有攜孩提就耶穌、欲其捫之者、門徒斥之、 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 耶穌見而不悅曰、容孩提就我、勿禁之、蓋屬上帝國者、乃如是人也、 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 我誠語汝、凡承上帝國、而不如孩提者、斷不得入也、 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16 乃抱之、按手而祝焉、○ And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
17 耶穌出於途、有趨就者、跪而問曰、善哉、夫子、我當何爲、以承永生、 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 耶穌曰、何善我乎、善者惟一、上帝而已、 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19 夫諸誡爾所識也、毋殺、毋淫、毋竊、毋妄證、毋欺詐、敬爾父母、 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20 對曰、夫子、凡此、我自幼悉守之矣、 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21 耶穌顧而愛之曰、爾猶缺一、往鬻所有以濟貧、則將有財於天、且來從我、 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 其人聞言色沮、愀然而去、貲厚故也、○ And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23 耶穌環視、謂其徒曰、有財者入上帝國、難矣哉、 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 門徒異其言、耶穌又曰、小子、恃財者入上帝國、難矣哉、 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 駝穿鍼孔、較富者入上帝國猶易也、 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 門徒訝甚、曰、然則誰能得救乎、 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27 耶穌目之曰、於人固不能、於上帝則不然、蓋上帝無不能也、 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
28 彼得曰、我儕已舍一切以從爾矣、 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
29 耶穌曰、我誠語汝、爲我及福音、舍屋宇、兄弟、姊妹、父母、子女、田疇者、 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 未有不於今時獲百倍、卽屋宇、兄弟、姊妹、母子、田疇、兼之窘逐、而來世獲永生也、 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
31 然多有先者將爲後、而後者先也、○ But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
32 上耶路撒冷時、途間、耶穌行於前、門徒異之、從者懼焉、耶穌復攜十二徒、以己將遇之事告之、 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,
33 曰、我儕上耶路撒冷、人子見付於祭司諸長及士子、擬以死、付之異邦人、 Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:
34 戲之、唾之、扑而殺之、三日復起、○ And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
35 西庇太之子雅各約翰進曰、夫子、我所求爾者、願爲我行之、 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.
36 耶穌曰、欲我何爲、 And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?
37 對曰、爾榮時、賜我儕一坐爾左、一坐爾右、 They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.
38 耶穌曰、爾所求者、爾不知也、我飲之杯、爾能飲乎、我受之洗、爾能受乎、 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
39 對曰、能、曰、我飲之杯、爾將飲之、我受之洗、爾將受之、 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
40 但坐我左右、非我得賜、惟爲誰備之、則誰賜、 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
41 十徒聞之、則憾雅各約翰、 And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.
42 耶穌召之曰、所謂君異邦者主其治、而大人執其權、爾所知也、 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
43 惟爾中不然、欲爲大者、必爲爾役、 But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
44 欲爲首者、必爲衆僕、 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
45 蓋人子至、非以役人、乃役於人、且舍生爲衆贖也、○ For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
46 至耶利哥、偕門徒及大衆出邑時、有瞽而乞者、底買之子巴底買、坐於路旁、 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47 聞爲拿撒勒人耶穌、呼曰、大衞之裔耶穌、矜恤我、 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48 衆責之、使緘默、彼愈呼曰、大衞之裔、矜恤我、 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49 耶穌止、命召瞽者來、衆乃召之曰、安爾心、起、耶穌召爾矣、 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50 卽棄衣亟起、而就耶穌、 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51 耶穌曰、欲我何爲、瞽者對曰、夫子、我欲得見、 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52 耶穌曰、往哉、爾信愈爾矣、遂得見、從耶穌於路、 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
