1 維時、有同在者、以加利利人之事告耶穌、卽彼拉多以其血雜祭物中也、 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 耶穌曰、爾意此加利利人受此害、較衆加利利人尤有罪乎、 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things?
3 我告爾、非也、爾弗改悔、皆將如斯而亡、 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 昔西羅亞樓傾、壓而斃者十八人、爾意斯人、較居耶路撒冷諸民、尤負罪乎、 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 我告爾、非也、爾弗改悔、皆將如斯而亡、○ I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 乃設喻曰、有植無花果樹於其葡萄園者、來而求果弗得、 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 語園丁曰、我來求果於此樹者三年矣、而弗得、宜斫之、何爲曠此土乎、 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 對曰、主、今歲姑容之、待我周掘壅糞、 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 後或結果、否則斫之、○ And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
10 安息日、耶穌在一會堂訓誨、 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 適有婦患鬼而病、十有八年、傴僂不能伸、 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 耶穌見而呼之曰、婦乎、爾釋於病矣、 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 遂以手按之、婦卽伸、歸榮上帝、 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 司會堂者、因耶穌於安息日施醫、憾焉、謂衆曰、工作自有六日、於此可來受醫、勿於安息日也、 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 主曰、僞善者乎、爾曹於安息日、孰不解牛驢於廐、牽以飲之乎、 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 況此婦爲亞伯拉罕之裔、撒但繫之十有八年、不當於安息日解其結乎、 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 耶穌言此、諸敵愧恥、衆見其所行諸有榮之事、皆喜、○ And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18 耶穌曰、上帝國何似、我將何以比之、 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19 乃似芥種一粒、人取而播於其園、長而成樹、飛鳥棲於其枝、 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
20 又曰、我將何以比上帝國乎、 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 乃似酵、婦取而納於三斗麵中、致均發酵焉、○ It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 耶穌經邑鄉訓誨、向耶路撒冷而往、 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
23 或曰、主、得救者其寡乎、 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 曰、當竭力以進窄門、我語汝、將有求進而不得者多也、 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 迨家主起而閉門、爾立於外、叩門曰、主歟、爲我啟之、彼將應曰、我不識爾奚自、 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 爾將曰、我儕曾於爾前食飲、爾亦曾於我衢訓誨、 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 彼將曰、我告爾、我不識爾奚自、爾衆行不義者、其去我、 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 時、爾見亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、與諸先知在上帝國、而爾見逐於外、則必哀哭切齒矣、 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 自東自西、自南自北、有人將至、席坐於上帝國、 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 有後者將爲先、先者將爲後也、○ And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31 是時法利賽數人來、謂之曰、出而去此、希律欲殺爾也、 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 耶穌曰、往告彼狐狸云、今日明日、我逐鬼施醫、至三日、我事畢矣、 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33 雖然、今日明日及後日、我必行矣、蓋先知不能亡於耶路撒冷外也、 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 耶路撒冷歟、耶路撒冷歟、殺先知石擊使於爾者乎、我欲集爾赤子、似牝鷄集雛翼下者屢矣、而爾不欲也、 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 爾室遺於爾矣、我語汝、爾將不見我、迨爾云、奉主名而來者、宜頌也、 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
