| 1 | 爾中或有相爭、敢訟於不義者前、而不於聖徒前乎、 | Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? |
| 2 | 豈不知聖徒將鞫世乎、世且爲爾鞫、而不堪鞫細事乎、 | Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? |
| 3 | 豈不知我儕將鞫天使、況此生之事乎、 | Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? |
| 4 | 若此生之事是鞫、乃使會中之卑無足數者鞫之耶、 | If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. |
| 5 | 我言此以愧爾、豈爾中無一智者、能判兄弟乎、 | I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? |
| 6 | 乃兄弟相訟、且於不信者之前乎、 | But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. |
| 7 | 夫爾曹相訟、其失已甚、盍寧受枉受虧乎、 | Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? |
| 8 | 乃反作枉作虧、且於兄弟也、 | Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. |
| 9 | 豈不知不義者不得承上帝國乎、毋受惑、凡淫亂、拜像、行姦、爲孌童、比頑童、 | Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, |
| 10 | 盜竊、貪婪、沈湎、詬詈、苛索者、皆不得承上帝國也、 | Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. |
| 11 | 爾中素有如是者、惟以主耶穌基督名、及我上帝之神、已洗滌成聖、而見義焉、○ | And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. |
| 12 | 凡物皆宜於我、然不盡有益、凡物皆宜於我、然不受其制、 | All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. |
| 13 | 食爲腹、腹爲食、而上帝將悉敗之、惟身非爲淫、乃爲主、主爲身、 | Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. |
| 14 | 上帝曾起主、亦將以其能起我儕、 | And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. |
| 15 | 豈不知爾身乃基督之肢乎、以基督之肢、爲娼妓之肢可乎、必不可也、 | Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. |
| 16 | 豈不知合於娼妓者、卽與之一體乎、故曰、二者成爲一體、 | What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. |
| 17 | 惟合於主者、卽與主一靈也、 | But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. |
| 18 | 當避淫行、人之干罪、皆在身外、惟行淫者、干罪於己身也、 | Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. |
| 19 | 豈不知上帝賜聖神於爾衷、而爾身乃聖神之殿乎、且爾非己有也、 | What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? |
| 20 | 蓋爾以值見購、故當以身榮上帝焉、 | For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. |
