| 1 | 人當以我儕爲基督之役、上帝奧祕之宰、 | Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. |
| 2 | 夫所求於宰者忠也、 | Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. |
| 3 | 我見擬於爾曹、或以人意擬之、我則視爲細事、亦不自擬、 | But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. |
| 4 | 我不自覺有疚、然不以此見義、蓋擬我者主也、 | For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. |
| 5 | 是以時未至、俱勿擬、待主臨、必彰暗中之隱、發衆心之謀、各由上帝得其褎焉、○ | Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. |

| 8 | 爾曹已飽足、已富有、外乎我而秉權、我誠願之、俾我偕爾秉權、 | Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you. |
| 9 | 我思上帝、已置我儕使徒於末、如擬死者、作劇於世、爲天使與人所觀、 | For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. |
| 10 | 我儕緣基督而愚、爾在基督而智、我弱爾強、爾榮我辱、 | We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. |
| 11 | 迄今我儕飢渴、裸體受撻、靡有定處、 | Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; |
| 12 | 且服勞、躬親操作、見詬則祝、遇窘則忍、 | And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: |
| 13 | 受謗則勸、成爲世之汙穢、物之塵垢、以迄於今、○ | Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. |
| 14 | 余書此、非以愧爾、乃警爾、如我愛子、 | I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. |
| 15 | 爾宗基督、雖有萬師、而無多父、蓋我在基督耶穌中、以福音生爾、 | For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. |
| 16 | 故勸爾效我、 | Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. |
| 17 | 緣此、遣提摩太就爾、彼乃宗主、爲我愛子而忠誠者、令爾憶我於基督中所行、如我於諸會隨在訓誨者、 | For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church. |
| 18 | 今有人意我不來而自矜、 | Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you. |
| 19 | 如主許之、我必速就爾、非欲知自矜者之言、乃其能耳、 | But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. |
| 20 | 蓋上帝國、不在言而在能、 | For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. |
| 21 | 爾何所欲乎、欲我以杖就爾乎、抑以仁慈與温柔之心乎、 | What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? |
