| 2 | 書達哥林多上帝會、卽成聖於基督耶穌中、蒙召爲聖徒、與隨在籲我主耶穌基督名者、基督爲其主、亦我之主也、 | Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: |
| 3 | 願恩惠平康、由我父上帝、及主耶穌基督歸爾、○ | Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 4 | 我爲爾曹恆謝我上帝、因上帝之恩於基督耶穌賜爾、 | I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; |
| 5 | 俾爾於基督中萬事富有、才辯知識俱優、 | That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; |
| 6 | 如基督之證、得堅於爾中、 | Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: |
| 7 | 使爾曹恩賜罔缺、以待我主耶穌基督之顯、 | So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: |
| 8 | 亦將堅爾至終、致於我主耶穌基督之日、無有可責、 | Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 9 | 誠信者上帝也、爾由彼見召、與其子我主耶穌基督相通也、○ | God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| 10 | 兄弟乎、我以我主耶穌基督之名勸爾、言宜同、毋樹黨、惟一心一志、翕然契合、 | Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. |
| 11 | 革來氏之家人告我、言爾兄弟中有紛爭、 | For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. |
| 12 | 我謂爾曹各有所言、我宗保羅、我宗亞波羅、我宗磯法、我宗基督、 | Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. |
| 13 | 基督豈有分乎、保羅豈爲爾釘十架乎、抑爾受洗歸於保羅名乎、 | Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? |
| 14 | 我謝上帝、於基利司布該猶而外、我未嘗施洗爾中一人、 | I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; |
| 15 | 免人言爾受洗歸於我名也、 | Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. |
| 16 | 我亦施洗司提反家人、其餘則弗憶之矣、 | And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. |
| 17 | 蓋基督遣我、非以施洗、乃宣福音、非在言語之智、恐虛基督之十架焉、○ | For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. |
| 18 | 夫十架之道、於淪亡者爲愚、於我儕得救者、則爲上帝之能、 | For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. |
| 19 | 記有之、我將敗智者之智、廢哲者之哲、 | For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. |
| 20 | 智者安在、士子安在、斯世之辯者安在、豈非上帝使世之智爲愚乎、 | Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? |
| 21 | 蓋世自恃己智、不識上帝、故上帝喜以若愚之道救諸信者、此卽上帝之智也、 | For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. |
| 22 | 猶太人索異蹟、希利尼人求智慧、 | For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: |
| 23 | 但我儕乃宣釘十架之基督、於猶太人則爲礙、於異邦人則爲愚、 | But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; |
| 24 | 惟於奉召者、無論猶太希利尼、則基督爲上帝之能、上帝之智、 | But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. |
| 25 | 蓋上帝之愚、智於人、上帝之弱、強於人也、○ | Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. |
| 26 | 兄弟乎、試觀爾曹奉召、依形軀爲智爲能爲貴者、俱無多也、 | For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: |
| 27 | 乃上帝選世之愚者、以愧智者、選世之弱者、以愧強者、 | But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; |
| 28 | 且選世之卑賤者、受輕忽者、與夫無者、以廢有者、 | And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: |
| 29 | 使人無一自誇於上帝前、 | That no flesh should glory in his presence. |
| 30 | 惟爾本乎上帝、在基督耶穌中、彼由於上帝、而爲智爲義爲聖爲贖於我儕者也、 | But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: |
| 31 | 如經云、誇者當於主而誇焉、 | That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. |
