| 2 | Ya y dangculo na mamale si Annas yan si Caefas, este na tiempo, mato y sinangan Yuus gui as Juan, lajin Sacharias, gui jalomtano. | Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. |
| 3 | Ya g�iya mato gui todo y tano gui oriyan Jordan, jasesetmon y managpang en sinetsot para y maasiin isao. | And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; |
| 4 | Taeg�ije esta matugue gui leblo ni y sinangan y profeta Isaias, na ileg�a: Inagang�a ni y umaagang gui jalomtano: Famauleg y chalan y Se�ot, y cayejon�a natutunas. | As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. |
| 5 | Todo y finaca�ada umanafanbula, yan todo y tano boca yan y manloca na ogso umanafanagpapa; yan y manechong umanafanunas, yan y chalan farangca unamafanyano. | Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; |

| 7 | Enaomina ileg�a ni y linajyan taotao na manmato para ufanmatagpange pot g�iya: Rasan culebla, jaye jamyo fumanag�e na insuaye y binibo ni y mamamaela? | Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? |
| 8 | Chile tinegchanmiyo ni y magajet na sinetsot, ya chamiyo insigue di sumasangan nu jamyoja: Guaja tatanmame si Abraham; sa jusanganejamyo na si�a, si Yuus g�ine gui acho janafangajulo y famaguon Abraham. | Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. |

| 11 | Ya manope, ileg�a nu sija: Y guaja dos magagu�a, unae y taya iyo�a: ya y guaja na�a ufatinas taeg�ijija. | He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. |
| 12 | Ya manmato locue y publicano sija para ufanmatatagpange, ya ileg�ija: Maestro jafa infatinasjam? | Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? |
| 13 | Ya ileg�a nu sija: Chamiyo gumagagao mas ni y esta jamyo manmatago. | And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. |
| 14 | Ya mafaesen g�e locue nu y sendalo sija, ileg�ija: Ya jame, jafajam infatinas? Ya mansinangane: Chamiyo mumatratrata ni jaye ni infanmanchiguit, ya magof jamyo nu y apasmiyo. | And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. |
| 15 | � Ya y taotao sija jananangga ya manmanjajajaso todo sija as Juan gui corason�ija, cao g�iya si Jesucristo. | And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; |
| 16 | Manope si Juan ya ileg�a nu todosija: Guajo magajet managpapange jamyo an janom; lao mamamaela uno na mas gaeninasi�a qui guajo, ya ti si�a yo manmerese na jupula y coreas y sapatos�a: g�iya managpapange an Espiritu Santo yan guafe. | John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: |
| 17 | Ya abanicu�a gaegueja gui canae�a para unagasgas y guineco�a, ya janafanda�a y trigo gui camalen�a; lao usonggue y ngasan gui guafe ni ti si�a upuno. | Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. |
| 18 | � Ya mamagat megae na sinangan ya japredica y taotao sija ni ibangelio. | And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people. |
| 19 | Lao si Herodes, ayo magalaje tetrarca, linalatde as Juan, pot si Herodias, asaguan y chelu�a as Felipe, yan pot todo y tinaelaye sija ni jafatinas si Herodes, | But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip’s wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, |
| 20 | Ya jafatinas este mas taelaye qui todo, ya maponggle si Juan gui catset. | Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison. |
| 21 | � Ya susede, anae todo y taotao manmatagpange, si Jesus locue matagpange; ya anae manaetaeg�e, mababa y langet; | Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, |
| 22 | Ya tumunog gui jilo�a y Espiritu Santo na gaejechura�a calang paluma, ya mato un inagang guine y langet na ileg�a: Jago y lajijo ni juguaeya; iyajago nae gaegue minagofjo. | And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. |
