1 POT y guaja megae y umapolo y canae�ija para ufannaregla y cuentos nu y ayo na g�inaja na esta guefmaasegura gui entalo jame, Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Jaftaemanoja ninaejam ni guine y tutujo�a y testigojam ni y malie, nu y yan y ministrojam y sinangan; Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
3 Y jinasoco mauleg locue nu guajo, sa juguefegaga sinengcabales todo y g�inaja guine y tutujon�a, na jutuguie jao pot y inaregla, jago guesmagas na Teofilo; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 Para untungo sija y magajet ayosija mano nae unresibe y finanag�e. That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
5 � Guaja gui jaanin Herodes, ray guiya Judea, un pale, naan�a si Sacharias, y clasen Abias; y asagua�a guinin sija jagan Aaron ya y naa�a si Elisabet. There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 Este na dos mauleg gui sanmenan Yuus, jajananao gui todo y lay yan y tinago Se�ot, ti lalatdiyon. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 Ya taya patgon�ija; sa si Elisabet tif�fa�ago; yan y dos megae jaani�ija. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
8 � Ya jumuyong, anae ma�e�etbe si Sacharias, gui ofisio y pale gui menan Yuus, gui chechon y clasi�a, And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,
9 Jaftaemanoja y costumbren y ofisio y pale, y checho�a na jumalom gui guimayuus ya jasonggue y paopao. According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
10 Ya todo y linajyan taotao mangaegue gui sanjiyong manmananaetae gui oran paopao. And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.
11 Ya mato guiya g�iya y angjet y Se�ot, na gaegue gui agapa y attat y paopao. And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 Ya inestotba si Sacharias anae jalie, ya mato minaa�ao gui jilo�a. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 Lao y angjet ileg�a nu g�iya: Sacharias, chamo maaa�ao; sa y tinaetaemo este majungog; ya y asaguamo as Elisabet ufa�ago y patgon laje, ya umafanaan naan�a si Juan. But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
14 Ya uguaja jao minagof yan alegria; ya y megae umagof nu y mafa�agu�a. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15 Sa udangculo g�e gui menan Se�ot; ya ti uguimen bino ni metgot na guinem ya ubulag�e Espiritu Santo, guinin y tiyan nana�a. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.
16 Ya megae gui famaguon Israel, ujabira nu y Se�ot, Yuus�ija. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
17 Ya ujanaog�e gui menan y mata�a nu y espiritu yan y ninasi�an Elias, para unanalo y corason�ija y ma�aena guiya y famaguon, yan y manch�tmatago ni y tiningo y manunas; para ufamauleg nu y Se�ot y taotao, ni y esta fanmauleg para g�iya. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
18 Ya ileg�a si Sacharias nu y angjet: Jaftaemano jutungo este? sa guajo bijoyo ya y asaguajo megae jaani�a. And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
19 Ya manope y angjet ya ileg�a nu g�iya: Guajo si Gabriel, na gaegue yo tumotojgue gui menan Yuus; ya guajo esta matago na jucuentusejao, ya junaejao ni este mauleg na sinangan. And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
20 Ya estag�e, na jago udojao ya ti si�a uncuentos, asta y jaane nae este macumple estesija; sa y ti unjongue y sinanganjo, ni umacumple y tiempo�a. And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
21 Ya y taotao sija manmannanangga as Sacharias, ya ninafanmanman ni y inapmam�a gui guimayuus. And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.
22 Ya anae jumuyong, ti si�a umadingane sija; ya matungo na manlie un linie gui guimayuus; lao g�iya sigue di fumatinas y se�atja; ya sumaga udo. And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
23 Ya anae esta munjayan y jaanin y ministro�a, jumanao para y guima�a. And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
24 � Ya despues di ayo sija na jaane mapotgue y asagua�a as Elisabet, ya janana sinco na meses, ya ileg�a: And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25 Taemanoja y Se�ot jafatinas para guajo, este sija na jaane nae jaatanyo para unajanao y mamajlaojo gui entalo taotao sija. Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
26 Y mina saes na mes, y angjet Gabriel esta tumago guine as Yuus, para un siuda guiya Galilea, ni y naan�a y Nasaret, And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 Guiya un bitgen, nobia y un laje naan�a si Jos�, familian David; ya y naan y bitgen si Maria. To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28 Ya jumalom manu nae estaba g�e, ya ileg�a: Jafa tatatmana jao na guefmaborese jao; y Se�ot gaegue guiya And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 Lao pot este na sinangan, ninaestotba g�e, ya jajajaso na jaftaemano este na sinaluda. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 Entonses y angjet ileg�a nu g�iya: Maria, chamo maaa�ao; sa unsoda y finaborese gui menan Yuus. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 Ya estag�e, na unmapotgue gui tiyanmo ya unfa�ago un patgon laje, ya umafanaan y naaa�a si Jesus. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 Ya udangculo g�e, ya umafanaan Lajin Gueftaquilo: ya y Se�ot Yuus ufannae g�e y tronon David tata�a. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 Ya ugobietna gui guima Jacob siesiempreja; ya y raeno�a ugagaegue taejinecog. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Entonses si Maria ileg�a ni y angjet: Jafa jumuyong este? sa ti jutungo laje. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 Ya manope y angjet, ya ileg�a nu g�iya: Y Espiritu Santo umamaela guiya jago, ya y ninasi�a y Gueftaquilo jafatinas y anineng gui jilomo; enaomina ayo na Santos na umafa�ago, umafanaan Lajin Yuus. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36 Ya, estag�e, si Elisabet, parentesmo, locue g�iya mapotgue un laje gui inamco�a; ya este y mina saes na mes nu g�iya na mafanaan tif�fa�ago. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 Sa y sinangan Yuus, taya uno na taeninasi�a. For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38 Entonses si Maria ileg�a: Estag�e y tentagon Se�ot; ufatinas guiya guajo taemanoja y sinanganmo. Ya y angjet mapos guiya g�iya. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
39 � Ya ayo na jaane sija, cajulo si Maria ya jumanao gusise para un tano taquilo, guiya un siudan Juda; And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
40 Ya jumalom gui guima Sacharias ya jasaluda si Elisabet. And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
41 Ya jumuyong taeg�ije na anae jajungog si Elisabet y sinaludan Maria, y patgon tumayog gui jalom tiyan�a; si Elisabet bula Espiritu Santo, And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42 Ya umagang ni dangculo na inagang ya ileg�a: Dichosojao gui entalo y famalaoan, ya dichoso y tinegchan tiyanmo. And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43 Ya guine manu este guiya guajo, na mato guiya guajo y nanan y Se�otto. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 Sa estag�e, na anae mato y inagang y sinaludamo gui talangajo, y patgon, gui jalom tiyanjo, tumayog ni minagof�a. For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45 Ya dichosog�e y jumonggue; sa uguaja y quinimple gui g�inaja, ni esta masangane g�e ni guinin y Se�ot. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
46 � Entonses ileg�a si Maria: Janadangculo y antijo y Se�ot, And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 Ya y espiritujo ninamagof gui as Yuus y Satbadotto. And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 Sa jaatan y dinespresiao�a y tentgo�a; sa estag�e na desde pago jumafanaan dichosa ni todo y generasion. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49 Sa ayo na guaja ninasi�a, jafatinas guiya guajo dangculo na g�inaja; ya santos y naan�a. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
50 Ya y minaase�a gaegue gui generasion taotao sija, gui jilo�ija ni manmaa�ao nu g�iya. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
51 Ya pot y canae�a jafanue minetgot; janafa�uja y sobetbio sija gui jinason y corason�ija. He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 Ya jayute papa y magas gui trono�ija, ya jajatsa y manumitde. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
53 Ya y man�alang janafanbula ni y minauleg; ya y manmig�inaja janafanjanao yan y tae sinajguan. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
54 Ya jaayuda si Israel tentago�a, para ufanjaso y mi�aase, He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
55 (Taemano y jasangane y ma�aenata), as Abraham yan y semiya�a para todo y tiempo. As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
56 Si Maria sumaga yan g�iya calang tres meses ya despues jumanao asto iyasija. And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
57 � Ya si Elisabet jacumple y tiempo nae para ufa�ago; ya ma�ago un patgon laje. Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
58 Ya anae majungog ni tiguang�a yan y parientes�a, na si Yuus janadangculo y minaase�a guiya g�iya; ya manmagof yan g�iya. And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.
59 Ya susede na y mina ocho na jaane manmato para umasircunsida y patgon: ya malago�ija umafanaan ni y naan tata�a as Sacharias. And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
60 Ya manope y nana�a ya ileg�a: Aje, sa umafanaan si Juan. And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.
61 Ya ileg�ija nu g�iya: Taya gui manparientesmo mafanaan nu este na naan. And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.
62 Ya mase�at y tata�a, ya mafaesen jafa malago�a umafanaan. And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
63 Ya mangagao un diquique na tabla ya jatugue ileg�a: Si Juan naan�a. Ya todo sija ninafanmanman. And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.
64 Ya enseguidas mababa y pachot�a, ya mapula y jila�a, ya cumuentos, jabendise si Yuus. And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.
65 Ya guaja minaa�ao gui jilo�ija todo y ma�asaga gui oriya�ija: ya gui todo y tano taquilo guiya Judea, masasangan este sija na sinangan. And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judea.
66 Ya todosija y jumujungog jaadaje gui corason�ija ya ileg�ija: Jafa jumuyong este na patgon? Sa y canae Yuus gaegue guiya g�iya. And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
67 � Ya si Sacharias, tata�a, bula Espiritu Santo ya japrofetisa, ileg�a: And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
68 Bendito y Se�ot, y Yuus y Israel; sa jabisita ya jafatinas y redension, para taotao�a, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
69 Ya janacajulo para jita un canggelon y satbasion, gui guima y tentago�a as David, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
70 (Taeg�ijija na jasasangan gui pachot y ma�antos na profeta�a, ni esta gaegue guinin tutujon�a y tano), As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
71 Satbasion gui y enemiguta yan gui canae todo y chumatliijit; That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
72 Para umafanue y minaase�a gui ma�aenata, ya umajaso y santos na trato�a; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73 Y juramento ni manjula as Abraham ni tatata, The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
74 Na g�iya unaejit linibreta gui canae y enemiguta ya utasetbe g�e sin minaa�ao, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
75 Y sinantos yan y tinunas gui mena�a todo y jaanita. In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
76 Ya, jago, patgon, unmafanaan profetan y Gueftaquilo; sa unjanao gui menan y Se�ot para unfamauleg y chalan�a; And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
77 Para ufanamatungo y satbasion gui taotao�a ni y maasiin y isao�ija, To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
78 Pot causa y corason y minaase�a y Yuusta, anae y candit ogaan guinin taquilo, jabisitajit, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
79 Para junae inina y manmatatachong gui jemjom yan y anineng y finatae; para ufanue y patasta gui chalan y pas. To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
80 Ya y patgon lumala ya mumetgot gui espiritu ya sumaga gui desierto asta y jaane anae esta matungo guiya Israel. And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
