1	(A psalm by David for the music leader.) / A Prayer for the 's Help How much longer, Lord, will you forget about me? Will it be forever? How long will you hide?	How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2	How long must I be confused and miserable all day? How long will my enemies keep beating me down?	How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3	Please listen, Lord God, and answer my prayers. Make my eyes sparkle again, or else I will fall into the sleep of death.	Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4	My enemies will say, “Now we've won!” They will be greatly pleased when I am defeated.	Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5	I trust your love, and I feel like celebrating because you rescued me.	But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6	You have been good to me, Lord, and I will sing about you.	I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
