1	Gott ist ein starker Turm FÜR DEN CHORLEITER, ZUR MUSIK VON SAITENINSTRUMENTEN. VON DAVID.	Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2	Höre, Gott, mein Klagen! Gib acht auf mein Gebet!	From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3	Vom Rand der Welt rufe ich zu dir. Ich bin im Herzen so verzweifelt. Bring mich auf einen sicheren Felsen. Für mich allein ist er zu hoch.	For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4	Ja, du bist für mich eine Zuflucht, ein starker Turm, der dem Feind standhält.	I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
5	Für immer möchte ich Gast sein in deinem Zelt. Unter deinen Flügeln will ich Schutz suchen wie in einem Versteck. Sela.	For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6	Denn du, Gott, hast meine Gelübde gehört. Du hast denen das Land zum Besitz gegeben, die deinem Namen mit Ehrfurcht begegnen.	Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.
7	Schenk doch dem König ein langes Leben, viele Jahre von Generation zu Generation!	He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8	Für immer soll er vor Gott auf seinem Thron sitzen! Güte und Treue sollen ihn ständig bewahren!	So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
9	Ich will deinen Namen preisen alle Zeit und meine Gelübde erfüllen Tag für Tag.	—
