1	Der große Lobpreis – Gottes Wunder Halleluja! Lobt den Namen des Herrn! Lobt ihn, die ihr Dienst tut für den Herrn!	Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord.
2	Ihr steht doch im Haus des Herrn, in den Höfen am Haus unseres Gottes.	Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God,
3	Lobt den Herrn! Denn der Herr ist gut. Preist seinen Namen! Denn er ist schön.	Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
4	Ja, der Herr hat Jakob erwählt. Israel ist sein besonderes Eigentum.	For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5	Ja, ich weiß: Der Herr ist groß! Unser Herr ist größer als alle Götter!	For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
6	Alles, was dem Herrn gefällt, führt er aus – im Himmel und auf der Erde, in den Meeren und Fluten der Unterwelt.	Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
7	Er lässt Wolken aufsteigen vom Rand der Erde. Er lässt Blitze herabfahren im Gewitterregen und holt den Sturmwind aus seinen Speichern.	He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
8	In Ägypten hat er seine Macht bewiesen: Dort ließ er die Erstgeburt erschlagen, bei den Menschen und beim Vieh.	Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
9	Er schickte Zeichen und Wunder mitten hinein ins Land Ägypten, gegen den Pharao und alle seine Knechte.	Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10	Viele Völker hat er besiegt und mächtige Könige getötet:	Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
11	Sihon, den König der Amoriter, und Og, den König von Baschan. Königreiche in ganz Kanaan hat er erobert.	Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
12	Ihr Land hat er zum Erbbesitz erklärt, zum ständigen Besitz für sein Volk Israel.	And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
13	Herr, dein Name bleibt für immer bestehen. An dich, Herr, wird man sich erinnern von Generation zu Generation.	Thy name, O Lord, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O Lord, throughout all generations.
14	Denn der Herr schafft Recht für sein Volk und ist barmherzig mit seinen Knechten.	For the Lord will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
15	Aber die Götterbilder der Völker sind nichts weiter als Silber und Gold – ein Werk, von Menschenhand gemacht:	The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
16	Sie haben einen Mund, aber sie können nicht reden. Sie haben Augen, aber sie können nicht sehen.	They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
17	Sie haben Ohren, aber sie hören nichts. Und kein Lebensatem ist in ihrem Mund.	They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18	Genauso sollen auch die Handwerker sein, die diese Götterbilder geschaffen haben, ja alle, die auf ihre Macht vertrauen.	They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.
19	Ihr vom Haus Israel preist den Herrn! Ihr Nachkommen Aarons preist den Herrn!	Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron:
20	Ihr Nachkommen Levis preist den Herrn! Ihr, die ihr den Herrn verehrt, preist den Herrn!	Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
21	Gepriesen sei der Herr vom Zion her, der in Jerusalem wohnt. Halleluja!	Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
