1	Gott wacht über Israel EIN LIED FÜR DIE PILGERREISE. Ich schaue hoch zu den Bergen. Woher kommt Hilfe für mich?	I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2	Hilfe für mich, die kommt vom Herrn! Er hat Himmel und Erde gemacht.	My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3	Er lässt deinen Fuß nicht straucheln. Der über dich wacht, schläft nicht.	He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4	Sieh doch: Der über Israel wacht, der schläft und schlummert nicht.	Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5	Der Herr wacht über dich. Der Herr ist dein Schutz, er spendet Schatten an deiner Seite.	The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6	Am Tag wird dir die Sonne nicht schaden und der Mond nicht in der Nacht.	The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7	Der Herr behütet dich vor allem Bösen. Er wacht gewiss über dein Leben.	The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8	Der Herr behütet dein Gehen und Kommen von heute an bis in alle Zukunft.	The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
