1	Israel am Berg Sinai / Die Lagerordnung und die erste Musterung / Der Befehl zur Musterung In der Wüste Sinai redete der Herr mit Mose beim Zelt der Begegnung. Es war das zweite Jahr nach dem Auszug aus Ägypten, der erste Tag des zweiten Monats.	And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2	Er sagte: »Zählt die Männer in der ganzen Gemeinde Israels und ordnet sie nach den Großfamilien ihrer Vorfahren! Erfasst die Zahl aller kriegstüchtigen Männer in Israel,	Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;
3	die 20 Jahre alt oder älter sind! Erfasst alle, die für Israel in den Krieg ziehen. Aaron und du sollen sie ihren Abteilungen zuweisen.	From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.
4	Von jedem Stamm soll euch das Oberhaupt helfen.	And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.
5	Das sind die Namen der Männer, die euch unterstützen sollen: Elizur, der Sohn von Schedeur, für Ruben;	And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.
6	Schelumiel, der Sohn von Zurischaddai, für Simeon;	Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
7	Nachschon, der Sohn von Amminadab, für Juda;	Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
8	Netanel, der Sohn von Zuar, für Issachar;	Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.
9	Eliab, der Sohn von Helon, für Sebulon;	Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.
10	für die Söhne des Josef: Elischama, der Sohn von Ammihud, für Efraim und Gamliel, der Sohn von Pedazur, für Manasse;	Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
11	Abidan, der Sohn von Gidoni, für Benjamin;	Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.
12	Ahieser, der Sohn von Ammischaddai, für Dan;	Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
13	Pagiel, der Sohn von Ochran, für Ascher;	Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.
14	Eljasaf, der Sohn von Deguel, für Gad;	Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
15	Ahira, der Sohn von Enan, für Naftali.	Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.
16	Sie sind die Stammesoberhäupter und Befehlshaber der Truppen Israels, die aus der Gemeinde berufen wurden.«	These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.
17	Mose und Aaron holten die genannten Männer zu sich.	And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:
18	Am ersten Tag des zweiten Monats versammelten sie die Gemeinde. Alle ließen sich in Familienverzeichnisse eintragen, geordnet nach den Familien ihrer Vorfahren. Alle von 20 oder mehr Jahren wurden erfasst,	And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
19	wie der Herr es dem Mose geboten hatte. So musterte Mose die Israeliten in der Wüste Sinai.	As the Lord commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
20	Die Zählung ist abgeschlossen Das ist das Ergebnis der Zählung: Die Nachkommen von Ruben, dem Erstgeborenen Israels, sind in Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Sie sind einzeln und mit Namen aufgeführt. Erfasst sind alle kriegstüchtigen Männer, die 20 Jahre alt oder älter sind.	And the children of Reuben, Israel’s eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
21	Im Stamm Ruben wurden 46.500 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.
22	Die Nachkommen von Simeon sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Sie sind einzeln und mit Namen aufgeführt. Erfasst sind alle kriegstüchtigen Männer, die 20 Jahre alt oder älter sind.	Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
23	Im Stamm Simeon wurden 59.300 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.
24	Die Nachkommen von Gad sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
25	Im Stamm Gad wurden 45.650 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.
26	Die Nachkommen von Juda sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
27	Im Stamm Juda wurden 74.600 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.
28	Die Nachkommen von Issachar sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
29	Im Stamm Issachar wurden 54.400 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.
30	Die Nachkommen von Sebulon sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
31	Im Stamm Sebulon wurden 57.400 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.
32	Nun folgen die Söhne des Josef: Das sind zunächst die Nachkommen von Efraim. Sie sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
33	Im Stamm Efraim wurden 40.500 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.
34	Dazu kommen die Nachkommen von Manasse. Sie sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
35	Im Stamm Manasse wurden 32.200 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.
36	Die Nachkommen von Benjamin sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
37	Im Stamm Benjamin wurden 35.400 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.
38	Die Nachkommen von Dan sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
39	Im Stamm Dan wurden 62.700 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.
40	Die Nachkommen von Ascher sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
41	Im Stamm Ascher wurden 41.500 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.
42	Die Nachkommen von Naftali sind in die Listen eingetragen, geordnet nach Familien und Großfamilien. Die Namen aller kriegstüchtigen Männer von 20 oder mehr Jahren sind erfasst.	Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
43	Im Stamm Naftali wurden 53.400 Männer gemustert.	Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
44	So viele Männer waren also gemustert worden. Mose und Aaron hatten sie gezählt, zusammen mit den zwölf Stammesoberhäuptern in Israel.	These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.
45	Geordnet nach ihren Familien wurden alle kriegstüchtigen Israeliten erfasst. Das waren alle, die 20 Jahre alt oder älter waren.	So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
46	Insgesamt waren es 603.550 kriegstüchtige Männer.	Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
47	Der Stamm Levi wird nicht mitgezählt Die Männer aus dem Stamm Levi waren nicht mit den anderen Israeliten gezählt worden.	But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
48	Denn der Herr hatte zu Mose gesagt:	For the Lord had spoken unto Moses, saying,
49	»Mustere den Stamm Levi nicht, und zähle die Männer bei den Israeliten nicht mit.	Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:
50	Lass die Leviten für die Zeltwohnung sorgen, in der die Tafeln mit den Geboten aufbewahrt werden. Die Leviten sollen die Bestandteile der Wohnung tragen und alle Geräte, die dazugehören. Sie sollen Dienst an der Wohnung leisten und rund um sie herum lagern.	But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
51	Wenn die Israeliten aufbrechen, bauen die Leviten die Zeltwohnung ab. Sie bauen sie beim Einrichten des Lagers wieder auf. Wer unbefugt zu nahe herantritt, soll getötet werden.	And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
52	Die Israeliten sollen nach Abteilungen geordnet lagern, jeder bei seinem Feldzeichen.	And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.
53	Die Leviten müssen rund um die Zeltwohnung lagern, in der die Tafeln mit den Geboten aufbewahrt werden. Der Zorn Gottes soll die Gemeinde Israel nicht treffen. Darum sollen die Leviten die Wohnung bewachen, in der die Tafeln mit den Geboten aufbewahrt werden.«	But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
54	Die Israeliten machten alles so, wie der Herr es dem Mose befohlen hatte.	And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.
