| 2 | Que pensa o mal no coração: continuamente se ajuntam para a guerra. | Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. |
| 3 | Aguçaram as linguas como a serpente; o veneno das viboras está debaixo dos seus labios (Selah). | They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah. |
| 4 | Guarda-me, ó Senhor, das mãos do impio; guarda-me do homem violento, os quaes se propozeram empuxar os meus passos. | Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. |
| 5 | Os soberbos armaram-me laços e cordas; estenderam a rede ao lado do caminho: armaram-me laços corrediços (Selah). | The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah. |

| 9 | Quanto á cabeça dos que me cercam, cubra-os a maldade dos seus labios. | As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. |
| 10 | Caiam sobre elles brazas vivas: sejam lançados no fogo: em covas profundas para que se não tornem a levantar. | Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again. |
| 11 | Não terá firmeza na terra o homem de má lingua: o mal perseguirá o homem violento até que seja desterrado. | Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. |
| 12 | Sei que o Senhor sustentará a causa do opprimido, e o direito do necessitado. | I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. |
| 13 | Assim os justos louvarão o teu nome: os rectos habitarão na tua presença. | Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence. |
