| 2 | Até quando consultarei com a minha alma, tendo tristeza no meu coração cada dia? Até quando se exaltará sobre mim o meu inimigo? | How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? |
| 3 | Attende-me, ouve-me, ó Senhor meu Deus; alumia os meus olhos para que eu não adormeça na morte; | Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; |
| 4 | Para que o meu inimigo não diga: Prevaleci contra elle; e os meus adversarios se não alegrem, vindo eu a vacillar. | Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. |
| 5 | Mas eu confio na tua benignidade: na tua salvação se alegrará o meu coração. | But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. |
